If you look at the page #13 of the reference manual, you should learn that the TFX is part of the System Effects, so, it is saved in the System Settings to be recalled when you turn ON the FA.

You can go to Sample Edit screen and adjust volume via knob in real time.

You can assign samples to SUBOUT, use a P2-P10 cable to loop back to AUDIO Input and use the KNOB on the most left position, set as INPUT level control.

What I do is use the bulk dump feature into Syx-Lib android app save the sysex, insert about 8 measures all tracks, then record the sysex into song. Is not even necessary an external gear! Just prepare the 8 measures space on all tracks, start recording in the sequence and trigger the bulk dump fun...

Just a joke... but, you can downgrade to Roland FA series and use the Editor for that ...

Hi, if you want to loose more time decoding messages from FA, use the FA Editor, in MIDI monitor you can see all the info from messages going and coming from FA

Using the FA Editor, you can see in the MIDI monitor how to select Studio Sets via MIDI

No way to trigger PADs functions via MIDI, nor SysEx.

The address that you are using is just to configure the group switch.

An workaround is to Activate/Deactivate parts individually, keeping one of the active parts selected,
all this via SysEx commands.
