Splits, layers, velocity
Has it been stated anywhere (I can't find) whether Integra-7 can, from the module itself -- Put any of the 16 parts into different layers or splits with different volumes and velocities, across the spectrum of the keyboard (and then play any or all of these layers / splits together - barring polypho...

Re: The New Roland Integra 7
One thing I can't seem to find out is --- There are 16 parts. Can I place instruments into these 16 parts on to different areas of the keyboard, as well as set different volumes and different velocities. In other words - splitting, layering and crossfading like I can with the Fantom X. I assume this...

Re: INTEGRA-7 SRX-Boards for Jupiter-80?
Some basics here - I take it the 16 parts means you could, for instance, take 4 instruments off each of 4 different SRX packs and layer, split, velocity mix these 16 parts in one live performance set ? Are there any arpeggios on board ? -If so - how many at one time Is it possible to have a drum tra...

Which memory card for Fantom X
Trying to get to the bottom of why I am unable to save and reload samples onto card. I have the normal card adaptor and use a 1GB SD card. I've also tried a 512MB card. i asked Roland tech support and a senior product specialist said -- "In my experience, I always recommend a direct Compact Fla...

Re: dimm error
Hi Martin I am having a similar problem with my Fan X. Samples are playing back with the crackling or distorted sound, not loading, not saving. I bought a new 512 MB DIMM. Initially I thought it was ok but then the same problem is back. I havent had the DIMM message - usually it is "Card Full&q...

Re: Recommend a PC133 DIMM please
Thanks for responses. I note Plank you got yours from Maplins I have just phoned Nottingham Maplins and they have one left in stock - a 512mb at £50. The maker is Integral. It appears to fit all the criteria. Would you say that price is about right. There are some very very cheap ones on Amazon that...

Combining V1.0 and V2.0 sounds
Jupiter-80 just added to my synth collection - Wow - big thick fat glorious sounds, enormous potential, looking forward to using it. It is a bit special when you hear it and play it in real life. Well done Roland My J80 came with V1.2 I think. So I backed up and loaded Version 2. I much prefer the V...

Recommend a PC133 DIMM please
It appears my DIMM memory module maybe faulty as I am struggling to load Planet A samples purchased from Artemiy / sinevibes. I am in the UK and want a PCC133 DIMM type memory module - 512mb. There are all sorts of different makes and prices say on Amazon UK. I wondered if anyone could possibly reco...

Fantom X-88 controlling V-Synth XT
Wondered if there is anyone with this set up who can pass on the midi settings for both so that in a performance the top two octaves of the X88 can be used for the V Synth sounds
With thanks

Activating drums on fantom XR
Hmmm - struggling with the manual on this one. In performance mode on the XR I know how to change my drum kits but I have yet to be able to activate the drums just to play the pattern. On my old Fantom X88 I used to hit one of the upper drum pads but I can't work the XR out. If I have my drum kit in...

sequencer polyphny in S88
I note performance polyphony in the S series is 64
Does this also apply to the sequencer - eg if you have 16 tracks recorded that could obviously easily surpass the 64 note polyphony - so is this figure different when using the sequencer
thank you

<t>Looking at getting X88 -----<br/> Am aware of the 3 x effects +chorus+reverb<br/> If building up a song in the sequencer and say using ten different patches - do the effects that are already part and parcel to those patches automatically go into the sequence, still leaving the 3 mfx useable on to...

Arp / rhythm
<t>Looking at getting X88---<br/> have read all the SOS reviews but would like a bit more knowledge on the arpeggiator and rythhm--<br/> I'm interested in what degree of backing you can use live - can these two sections for instance provide a bass riff, drum pattern and say a gated synth riff. I don...
