Re: DIY Repair on Fantom X6

Hello everybody, this is my first time posting a question: I have a Fantom X6 that recently developed an issue. The realtime controls at first were acting strange (primarily making changes on their own), I attempted to clean them out, and now they do not work at all. Brought it to the local authori...

Re: New poly aftertouch keyboard from Endeavour (NDVR)

Here's the correct link (for some reason I cannot edit my original post): http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ndvr-note-masterkeyboard--114/ Also, One difference with regular aftertouch is that the sensors measure the whole travel range of the key. This may be either an advantage or a disadvantage dep...

New poly aftertouch keyboard from Endeavour (NDVR)

Hi guys, Couldn't find any previous threads on this so here goes. Endeavour has started a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo for a range of master keyboards with polyphonic aftertouch (poly AT for search engines). http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ndvr-note-masterkeyboard--114/ http://endeavour...

Re: Broken keys on fantom X7

Can you inbox me that info? Well, someone here had the audacity to post a public link to the service manual for the X7 so let me just refer you there: http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=44494&p=261891&hilit=service+manual#p261891 There also exist specific versions for the ...

Re: Prog Change confusion Fantom X and Nord Stage

Are there any settings I could be missing that might be screwing this up? The individual parts are still responding to the program changes sent on the channels they correspond to. Check out page 113 of the manual on how to turn this off: ([F8 (MIDI Filter)] MIDI Filter Program Change (Receive Progr...

Re: AX Synth MIDI short comings

I can't build the transmitter inside the keytar because I need to press the "search" button to make the wireless connection. There is no such button on the USB stick... I never push any buttons on either unit, I just power them on and they connect. I can even change the channel on the 're...

Re: Bender Mode via USB?

I realize this is a rather old post by now but the answer to your question is a simple no. The bending mode is mainly a function of the AX Synth's internal sound engine, not of the keyboard/bender control itself. As such the MIDI that's going to come out of the AX will be identical regardless of the...

Re: AX Synth MIDI short comings

First of all, my Korg Kronos accepts the USB stick (WIDI-XU), literally plug 'n play! That's pretty cool. It worked like a charm. Didn't test the range yet, but I managed to go to a different room without issues. I have the same positive experience with the Widi-X8 combo. I don't think you'll ever ...

Re: Keytar history on youtube

Thanks, I rather enjoyed watching that. Quite a few models I'd never seen or even heard of before.

To me the black AX Synth is one of the best looking but that's probably just confirmation bias :-)

Re: AX Synth MIDI short comings

Music Store seems to have the item on backorder, and the XU doesn't have an estimated delivery date... It might take a while before I manage to test this out... Thomann seems to have the XU in stock, but they don't have the X8 in stock ("on request")... I'm looking for a different store.....

Re: AX Synth MIDI short comings

I ordered it here: http://www.musicstore.com/nl_NL/NLG/CME-WIDI-X8-Wireless-Midi-Interface-MIDI/USB-STUeCK-/art-PCM0005898-000 It clearly states: !!! Price for one unit! For operation w/o special CME keyboard a second X8 Unit is needed !!! Ah, I had assumed that you had ordered the Widi-X8 from Tho...

Re: AX Synth MIDI short comings

I already ordered the WIDI-X8 for my keytar, and I also ordered this: http://www.thomann.de/be/cme_widixu.htm Hopefully I can just plug that into my Kronos' USB port. I can probably find a workaround and by a second WIDI-X8 as receiver. I would cancel the order for the Widi-XU if I were you because...

"or you have 'converted' the actual sound/patch of the Fantom to a softsynth/sample player app on your computer." How can I do this? Is there an easy way? Maybe this: http://www.redmatica.com/Redmatica/AutoSampler.html I'm not at all familiar with it, just Googled it, so I don't know if i...

Re: AX Synth MIDI short comings

The only problem is that my wireless MIDI receiver is using USB, but maybe I could get around that... You could probably use this: http://www.kentonuk.com/products/items/utilities/usb-host.shtml to convert from USB MIDI to regular MIDI or you could use this for wireless MIDI instead (it's what I'm ...
