I agree, a very underrated little synth that seems to have a unique sound of it's own.
I'd like to compare it to the JP-8000 some day to see if the modeled oscillators make that much difference , considering the extra S/H price.

Re: FREE Fantomas V2.010 sound set for the Fantom X range!
Works perfectly in my Xa, thanks for all the hard work.
I could only afford a "beer" donation this month , but will donate again when I get paid.
I can never understand why SRX cards are so expensive when such pro quality patches(and samples) can be produced for free!

Re: D-10 Power-up problems
My D10 wouldn't boot properly after I stored it in a garage for a while. I rectified the problem by drying out the main CPU socket(using a hairdryer). The main CPU is not soldered , so sometimes moisture can get into the socket and cause the pins to start oxidising.

Fantom Xa Editor and Win 7
Hi ,
Does anyone know if the Fantom Xa editor (v1.53) and the USB midi will work with Windows 7
There appears to be win 7 USB drivers for the Fantom but it doesn't mention the Xa. I think the basic hardware is the same(minus the sample RAM) , so it should work.

D10 Editor
Hi ,
Does anyone know of an editor for the roland d10?
I downloaded an evaluation copy of D10-control , but the company does not appear to exist to upgrade to the full version.
I know syquest make an editor , but this seems to be the price of a PG10 on ebay!

Re: Fantom XA or Juno G ?
<t>I picked up an Xa for £360 and initially thought the keyboard action was worse than my ageing D10, but after a while I found it responded pretty well when using the great Rhodes/Wurli patches.<br/> <br/> I don't think there will ever be great piano actions in the sub £1k catagory because of the c...

Re: Fantom XA or Juno G ?
<t>I have just bought a second hand Xa and found it to be an excellent sound source.<br/> The keys do feel cheap but are actually quite playable.<br/> <br/> You have to remember that loading up 4 tracks of audio on a Juno-G from a flash card will take a lot longer than loading audio from a SATA HDD ...
