this is why everything (and certainly modern gear) should have midi learn if you ask me, keeps it easy
it is fine something sending out certain CC# BUT THE RECIPIENT NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO MAP TO IT

adding to this in case anybody ever reads in the future that is 2020 (not a classic year by any means) and beyond if using 5 pin DIN midi and not midi over USB if you have remote switch to OFF it will work in multi timbral mode, so all channels can be accessed at once either from daw or sequencer or...

yeah bit of a pain, they managed to name c#7 etc and we can't
eh oh i think they covered most chords so as long as they transpose properly it isn't so bad
shame about the arp though, i would have loved to give them at least a shortcut name of sorts

you can do TR or live rec
have you figured how to assign them to their own tracks?
select the track, source the part/sample you wish to use and enter rec mode of your choosing

ok after thinking i have the answer
make the sample into slices and make a rhythm, that way i can select the slice i want

vocal sample for example, is it possible to have it start @ the start in say bar 5 and at another point in bar 9 or xxxx other? or do i need to make a copy of the sample?

sure loops can be set up in there, new to this piece but played with editor last night and it is heavy what it can do to the machine
