Re: Modulating an LFO

It is possible to modulate LFO rate via another LFO, Envelope, or CC. Within the Mod Matrix, simply select LFO1, LFO2, which ever envelope or CC as the source and then whichever LFO as the destination. If it's specifically the waveshape of the LFO you're looking to modulate, I don't think that's pos...

Free original samples and patches for use with Roland MC-707

A collection of original samples (for osc use) and patches for use on the Roland MC-707 and MC-101. An original recording featuring use of most of (but not all) the patches contained in the project is also contained. The core idea has been to explore notions of "Open Source" releasing. Do ...

Re: MC 707 Sound Editor

Roland is currently offering Zen Engine hardware owners a free year subscription to Zenology Pro. Subscription also includes an additional 46 soundpacks (700+ presets) AND a year's worth of access to the rest of the Cloud instruments. Such said, in lieu of a more robust MIDI spec and a true purely p...

Zen Engine Sound Design Quirks

Some Notes of Sound Design quirks with the Zen Engine: 1. When dealing with Structs that share a single filter and amp: One partial (the 2nd one) loses it's ability for envelopes and LFOs to modulate the filter and amp (rather than those things resulting in summed results) *would be nice if these mo...

Yes
it offers no more additional access to the synth engine on the 707 than what one can already do through means outside the 707 itself.

Re: Sound designer for mc 101 and/or filr format specs

There is currently no means outside of ZenPro and as Roland has not released a more comprehensive MIDI spec for the Zen engine, no, there is no creating third party editors for it.

Re: New Firmware v1.60

Ping Pong/Forward Reverse playback mode for samples and at least a crossfade ability for sample loops if not also some way of hitting zero points would be overly nice. But on a related (and probably repeated) note, would be nice if sample loop points and similar sample information were recognized on...

Hopes For Future Track/Channel Muting options

Hope that Roland implements a Track/Channel Mute mode option.... all the better if it's on a per Track/Channel basis. Find how the Track mute works on individual parts of Drum Tracks fine enough.... which is basically akin to how Track muting worked on previous MCs, where MIDI note data is simply si...

Re: Looper limitations

Getting deeper into it you see so much great things but also so many more opportunities :) I still find it strange that playing these loops from a drum track works perfectly fine, but from the looper is not possible (ok there is some features on the looper that are not on the drum tracks, like time...

Re: How Are Others Handling the Lack Of Patch/Program Storag

they already have the 'sounds' that can also be downloaded from Roland cloud manager, so why not save sounds from the MC-707 itself? (they do miss the preview function!!) Next step is for drums. Actually, the sound packs don't get treated like the preset tones either in as much that there is no aut...

Re: Looper limitations

Samples don't get read from the SD so much as they get loaded into RAM and read from there. You may notice projects that use samples have a larger size than projects that don't. This is because sample data is contained with the project itself. Agreed, the looper functionality comes off as a bit of a...

Thanks, for the detail on what you were doing. Issue was in fact that I wasn't making giving any assignment in the MFX CTRL area of the MFX.

Not sure what all Supernatural sounds are on the Fantom, but I know it doesn't have all that the Integra 7 does.
