Sine wave modulating the filter sounds just like the square wave.
Only when I did pitch modulation did I get a sine wave as you would expect.

For any interested in this, my reply from Roland stated that it was by design and if you need higher output use GAIN Audio FX in Logic (or similar)

Thanks so much. However I seem to be missing or overlooking any actual program install file. In the INSTALL folder all I see is a Setup.msi file
