Re: Roland Cloud Connect features clarification questions

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your response.

I realize the the P4L lifetime keys available are for the legacy products. That is fine!

I think for now I will just stay with ordinary Roland Cloud.

Re: Would you consider buying a Fantom instead of a Jupiter-X or Juno-X or vice-versa?

Hi and thank you for your reply and thoughtful comments. I have hemmed and hawed over one of the synths for a very long time. I did watch every review I could find, including those from Loopop, Tim Shoebridge, and others. They are pretty good at giving the pros and cons for products they cover. The ...

Re: Would you consider buying a Fantom instead of a Jupiter-X or Juno-X or vice-versa?

As I understand it, you made a decision and picked the Jupiter-Xm. Maybe you can share your reasons for choosing the Jupiter-Xm over the Jupiter-X, Juno-X, Fantom and Fantom-0. I think a general comparison is difficult, because these models are designed for different target audiences and different ...

Roland Cloud Connect features clarification questions

I just ordered a Jupiter-Xm. I pay for a Roland Cloud Pro membership already. I do not own any lifetime keys for Zenology Pro or the model expansions, but I did do the Play4Life thing last time around and chose the JD-800 legendary series plug-in for my lifetime key. I am thinking about choices for ...

Re: suggestions for future ZENOLOGY version

The sound browser really needs an option for a larger font. The scalable editor interface was game-changing for me. However the browser still has the tiny font. Some of us old guys have bad eyes. Even with my "computer" glasses, the font is hard to read and I have to tip my head up to use ...

Re: Jupiter-X AND Fantom 7

I am not sure if you care, but I just clicked the "complete purchase" button on a Jupiter-Xm. I am going to use it as a module with my nice Keylab-88. I like the feel of the Keylab-88 and the AT on it is quite responsive with the model expansions for Zenology that I get with my Roland Clou...

Re: Jupiter-X AND Fantom 7

Aside from the workstation and screen, are there any other features you enjoy in the Fantom 6 over the Jupiter X? Currently trying to decide between the two. I don’t really need the workstation portion because I have an MPC Live II. It seems like you can pretty much get the same sound generators go...

Would you consider buying a Fantom instead of a Jupiter-X or Juno-X or vice-versa?

I don't post here often. I have been gassing for one of Roland's Zen Core keyboards for a while. I have a MC707 and a Roland Cloud Pro sub already, but I want more. I have wondered whether it is worth my money and home studio space to consider a Fantom 6 or 7 for the touch display and the n\zyme mod...

Re: TB-303 sounds for MC-101 MC-707

Nevermind. I found it in the reference manual, though your comment in the YT video clued me in. Legato mode applies portamento if a note is played while holding down the previous note. This is a better way to get a 303-style slide IMO because it doesn’t use up the mod knob for the track.

Re: TB-303 sounds for MC-101 MC-707

How did you get the pitch slide to work? I can't find a setting for this. The only place I can find is to assign portamento to the MOD knob then record a motion for it to turn it on and off. Portamento type in the sound has to be set to "Normal", sound has to be "Mono", and porta...

Re: Zenology Pro zoom problems

Hi, Benis67! Brian from Roland Cloud here. We did a little research into this. If you open the edit window in Zenology, you'll probably see that it fills most of your available screen space. The scaling factor limit is designed to prevent it from being larger than the available viewing area. On sma...
