Re: max SM size
I am interested in your findings as I have a XV5080 with 128mb Ram and a SM 128mb card. The only issue I think maybe the time things take to load as on the Fantom X6 which I really regret selling.....nevermind. I have a Yamaha Moxf8 and really love the sounds. I take it from your 'cough' your not ha...

Re: XV 5080 system update issues
Just updated my XV5080 to 1.30 via smart media card and had the same issue with the black screen. I thought it was fried until I looked really close and noticed the writing on the screen! Did the update and it now works a treat. Only issue I have found is when controlled via my Yamaha MOXF8 I can't ...

Re: Do I sell my expanded XV5080 for Integra 7?
I have a Yamaha MOXF8 to cover descent piano sounds so that covers the supernatural sounds department. I do have a MOXF6, but still think that the SNA Pianos on the i-7 are better/richer to my hears (this without tweaking). Cheers, Take care Hi Paulo, Do you have your MOXF6 expanded? I've got a Mut...

Re: Do I sell my expanded XV5080 for Integra 7?
And on top of what Macska said, the integra has the Supernatural sounds, specially the Acoustic ones that although not very tweakable are very good (to my hears).Other things that excel to me are the 8x MONO / 4 Stereo Assignable Outs and the quality and available variations of the Drum sounds. Hi ...

Re: Do I sell my expanded XV5080 for Integra 7?
Thanks for the reply Macska, Yes using external effects is the best option. I have the Strymon Timeline and BigSky effects units and they are stunning to say the least. I was just surprised by the built in reverb on the Integra, maybe I was expecting studio grade reverb on a flagship unit! The PCM s...

Do I sell my expanded XV5080 for Integra 7?
I am really torn between keeping my XV5080 with SRX-06/07 and getting the Integra 7. I had the chance to play with one for about 1 hour today at my local music store and to be honest I wasn't blown away. So I thought I would get some user feedback to help me make the change. Firstly I could only lis...

Re: JD-990+JV80-04 to XV5080+SRX-07
Royce your a legend for up loading this. Just purchased a XV5080 and got the SRX-07 board in it. I can now have all the old vintage boards sounds again. Do you know if they sound identical to the sr-jv80-04 board?
Thanks again

Re: What is love? Fantom X cover
Great cover mate. Really enjoyed that. Shame Fantom X doesn't have Osc Sync. I had a Moog Prodigy back in the day, same synth Howard used on the Mid8 of this song. You nailed all the important bits as well. Kudos.

No on the JV1080/2080 you only get the encoder and not the PCB board. Funnily enough just got myself a XV5080 love it.

Fantom X6 controlling Roland JV1010
I would really appreciate any help on this problem I am having. When hooked up via midi, via my Fantom X, the user bank works as expected on the JV1010. I get the green midi light plus all patches work correctly and the patch number changes with the Fantom X . I go from user to patch banks A,B,C,D,E...

Re: xv-series choir sounds to fantom xr-module?
When I had my fantom x I purchased srx-06 complete orchestra which contained sr-jv80-13 vocal expansion. which contains some beautiful choirs. I sold it but not before moving all the patches I liked to the fantom x user bank. now obviously once you remove the srx board all those patches become silen...

JV1080/JV2080 rotary encoder replacement
Has anybody changed the rotary encoders on their JV1080/2080s? Mine are shot to bits and I need to change them both. Just wondering how easy it is to do?
Just ordered two from Roland UK spares.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Sequencer question
Yes it's not performance mode you get the 8 pairs of insert effects, it's song mode. You'll have to give me time to adjust to the Yamaha way of thinking! ;-)

Re: Sequencer question
Thanks for the answers. It seems the mofx has the same sequencer of the rm1x, which was one of the best hardware sequencers I've used. I still have to check the quality of the internal synth compared to the fa's to see which one to buy. It's all down to personal taste. I demoed the Moxf 8 over a co...
