Re: How make on FA donk bass
"Donk Bass" sounds are generally a product of FM synthesis. There's no FM engine in the FA. That said, if you can find a wav that's got the basic tone, you might be able to get close to that once you dial in the envelopes, filters, and a bit of drive. Not a complicated sound to try an repr...

Re: Pad metronome flash
You can't change the pad's flash time. It is what it is. (Would be a useful feature though.) The Sequencer "Play" button flashes the current tempo. That's it. Tempo will automatically get saved with a Studio Set if you have "Tempo Assign Source" set to "Studio Set" inst...

Re: MFX not saved with Studio Set?
MFX are tied to the patch, so yes - You save the patch and then save the studio set that you're going to use it in. Makes sense.

Re: Reverse expression/volume pedal for patch
Just to add to this....and the old thread (link above from skyy19854) You can crossfade both PCM-S and SN-S patches with individual control over each oscillator within one patch if you set the expression pedal to Aftertouch in the System menu and then make the appropriate adjustments to the individu...

Re: fa06 how to set up aft. from controller
Ya, it makes no sense that Roland omitted all the other Aftertouch options on the SN-S engine. Dumb move. That said, I use the PCM-S engine most of the time for synth patches because of the more extensive Mod Matrix options and deeper editing in general. The EXP-O2 expansion provides lots of synth w...

Re: fa06 how to set up aft. from controller
The SN-Synth engine Aftertouch options are limited to Filter Cutoff and Level only. (Page 36 - FA Parameter Guide Manual.)
The PCM-Synth engine is much more versatile for Aftertouch options.

Re: Has anyone changed keybeds on FA-06?
You're talking major surgery here. Good luck finding a different keybed that will mount in the FA chassis without making major modifications. I think the only way you could do it is to physically remove the keybed, joystick, etc., chop the case so the FA becomes a large standalone module and then co...

Re: fa06 how to set up aft. from controller
PCMS engine has a very versatile Mod Matrix. Select AFTERTOUCH as a source (you have to scroll thru the CC"s to locate it.) You can control a lot of different parameters with it at once, including MFX settings. There's 4 independent Mod Matrix's, each with multiple sources and destinations. The...

Re: Display blank, comes on then blinks?
If everything else is working fine then I've got nothing to suggest other than your display is either toast or an electronic component that's related to it's operation is. You should take a look inside and check all connections just in case something has loosened up. If you move your FA around a lot...

Did you check and see if your "Local" function got turned off? This will result in no sound if you play the keys.

Re: Multiple octaves
If the Studio Set currently being used with that patch isn't utilizing all 16 parts, then my suggestion would work if I follow what's trying to be accomplished here.
Just need to change the 3 piano patches to the same midi channel and transpose accordingly in the Studio Set Part View.

Just put three instances of that same patch in a Studio Set and transpose the 2nd and 3rd patch in Part View. Simple.

Re: All synth sounds have an echo
I just tried that same SN-S tone (0822) in several different existing studio sets that I made awhile ago. The MFX always comes up as MOD DELAY (as it's saved with the tone), but the Chorus and Reverb types and related send levels change as they're saved with the Studio Set you are currently using. D...
