it can do that with pattern chain modeWavestrike wrote: ↑13:05, 11 July 2023 Make the clips like actual Ableton clips. The big feature of Ableton clips is FOLLOW ACTIONS and MC-707 totally misses that, i.e., what the clip does after it plays, including random follow, jump, stop, etc.
Also SIDECHAIN COMPRESSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Recording motion from midi in
I think you have to change the the thing (I think it's the driver) in global settings that says, "vendor" to "generic." THIS... The "vendor" midi mode keeps the device as a singular ecosystem with screwed up knob config, switched off or swapped signal chains and some r...

Re: This is where you can tell Roland what you want from the next MC707 firmware update
Sorry, as a final point, dunno if Roland are listening; The Scene Linking upgrade in the firmware made the biggest improvement to the MC707 so far. That's probably the easiest thing to upgrade further. The sonic capabilities and sounds of the MC707, and the clips, are more than good enough to make ...

Re: This is where you can tell Roland what you want from the next MC707 firmware update
I thought of another couple of thing, though I don't know if technically possible 1) Alternate Pattern(s). For each clip you have 1, 2 or 3 alternate patterns, which you select, and then program in the same that you do now. Once stored, you have a way of alternating, randomising etc the alternate c...

Re: This is where you can tell Roland what you want from the next MC707 firmware update
oohhh ok... this is neat, i'll be here all day... fml... Ive written afew essays about this and was in talks with Roland a while ago about what can be done with the limited storage on the eprom. Thing is, the device management of memory IS a REAL problem here... Not sure of the algorythms at play, b...

Re: Is Aira dead ?
tbh i think its concept is... Most of the HW is capable of alot more than what theyve been advertised for... take the tb3 and tr8s as perfect examples... both are far more powerful than originally thought... The Aira idea was to marry up gear and have it all working easily with other Aira gear.. mor...

Re: Roland Gaia Sound Designer Software
they could always reverse engineer whats already out there... as for the copy protection, , well, that was pointless, but thats Roland for ya... When Novation give out full blown editors for their mininova/ultranova and support it 10yrs later, while roland keep tryin to move people , it makes u wond...

Re: TB3's hidden features + parameter recall
New reply to an old post, I know, but it seems this unit has been sorely underated.... Yeah, the TB3 was underdeveloped hardware wise, under teh hood is a different story... i believe Roland were trying to just focus on its TB-eque flavours and relying on that name (and that particular sound) alone ...
