Re: Does Anybody Have XV-5050 Cakewalk INS File?
This I guess (just past into a text file and I suppose save it as "XV-5080" : See attached, but I'll leave the text here, as most of the links I tried were long dead. Could you post your modified XV5050.ins file, since you've gone to the trouble of doing the leg work? ; ------------------...

Re: Roland XV-5050 don't respond to midi signal
After that try changing the LCD contrast from 3 to another value, save and power off for 10 secs, power on, and check that the LCD contrast is defaulting to the new value. If so, then the flash memory is work ok to save. XV-5050: Saving System Settings [From Roland website] Use the following procedu...

Re: XV-5050 Battery
That is certainly possible. But in a bizarre turn of events, it just started working! The only thing I can think of is that it's been pretty warm these last few days (yeah sometimes this happens in the UK - thanks to: THE GLOBAL WARMING CRISIS - (just kidding, there is no crisis). So maybe some comp...

Re: XV-5050 Battery
The symptoms are basically if I change anything (so let’s say changing the LCD contrast), it will be forgotten after power off. It’s a problem for me because I have a MAC, and the Roland USB driver is not supported anymore. You can set the XV-5050 to use a generic USB mode - BUT to get it to work, i...

Re: XV-5050 Battery
Hmm - I think if it's the flash memory, then its chip IC3:
Looks like I'm going to have to open it up and hopefully it's just a bad solder joint.

Re: JU-06A isn't visible on my MacBook
If you go to the Apple Symbol (top left menu). The first item is "About This Mac" , but if you hold down Alt, it will change to "System Information" (I'm sure you already knew that). In Sys Info you can see a list of USB devices. BTW make sure the device is already on and plugged...

Re: XV-5050 Battery
Hi, has anyone figured out if / where the battery is? I downloaded the Service manual https://www.synthxl.com/roland-xv-5050/ , but doesn't look like there is a battery, nor can I see one inside https://live.staticflickr.com/4773/40760608412_3ec0cbfcf4_k.jpg Roland XV-5050 Another post mentions it u...
