The Roland A-37 does not have fixed velocity but try the velocity "LL" setting. It must be set separately for the UPPER and LOWER zones. See page 10 of the Roland A-37 Owner's Manual, "VEL (Velocity)".

1. There are three Keyboard Sets that can be fully programmed for SPLIT, DUAL and LOWER buttons using the A-PRO editor. See page 26 of the Owner Manual.
2. The UPPER button keeps reverting to MIDI channel 1, when you switch back from the SPLIT/DUAL/LOWER.
