Re: MC-101 low output volume
You might want to have the MultiFX set to equalizer. I do this by default now, it comes in handy as it sets the FX PRM and FX DEPTH knobs to Low Gain and High Gain respectively.

MC-101 noise when output is used in Mix-ins
This should not happen. I love the MC-101, If I use the output ( at the back and headphones ) to plug into my S-1 or TB-03 mix-in there is a hideous ground loop noise. If I use the USB MIDI there is no noise, it only appears when the MC-101 outputs are connected physically to another mix-in. We shou...

Re: AIRA compact suggestions
I love the mixer idea. I recently dug out the MC-303 to use its arpeggio on the S-1. One thing the Boutiques, mc-101, and Aira miss is an end note loop mode. So if you are using the arpeggiator the last note doesn't overwrite the first note. The MC-303 has this and it's almost 30 years old. It can't...

Re: Future boutiques
With the new ACB version of the CR-78 in the TR drum machines, is it possible there will be a CR-078? Still hoping for a Jupiter 4 or alphaJuno. Boutiques have historically been announced at this time of year, so who knows... I would struggle to justify 300 to 400 quid for a CR-78 boutique, especia...

Re: Future boutiques
What Roland Needs for Boutique Line: A 16 channel Mixer similar to MX-1 with powered MIDI inputs. For Drum Machines - Create an adapter that you could plug in via USB to your Drum Machine. This would support standard 1/4 inch line outs allowing you to fully emulate the original instruments multi ou...

Re: Voice stealing
Sorry mate, I don't have time for recording at the moment as I am working on many projects ( fine art not music ), I do have some music on my Instagram channel for my promo's for art. @farrellartist Try setting up a sequenced track on t2.1 with loads of sustain and release and then copy it to t3.1 u...

Re: How do I access Sound Packs on the MC101??
I had the same problem and contacted Roland support. Here is their answer (and it worked...): Production packs are installed in a different manner than Sound Expansions. 1. Download the production packs to your computer. 2. To transfer the MC-101 production pack to the MC-101, load the Production P...

Re: Voice stealing
1. Select the clip 2. Shift + Sound - Select Settings 3. Turn the Value Knob to VoiceAsgn and select it 4. Change the value from Limit to Full - According to the manual this prevents overlapping notes from being cut or dropped. Can you share an example with some details where it helped? I am asking...

Re: Voice stealing
The best solution I have found was to :- 1. Select the clip 2. Shift + Sound - Select Settings 3. Turn the Value Knob to VoiceAsgn and select it 4. Change the value from Limit to Full - According to the manual this prevents overlapping notes from being cut or dropped. It seems to work for me. Also, ...

Re: Strange things happen when I connect my Mc-101 to my TB-03 via midi
I think I solved it..... SHIFT+FILTER = SYSTEM - SYNC OUT = ON and SYNCOUT USB = OFF seems to have fixed the problem. Before I had SYNCOUT USB = ON which seems to have caused some kind of SYNC misalignment or distortion. Both machines are powered by USB on my Macbook Air. Everything sounds good now....

Strange things happen when I connect my Mc-101 to my TB-03 via midi
So the MC101 is fantastic and the TB03 is fantastic....so it's great to sync them via midi....eerrr not so fantastic. So what is happening is I connect MC101 midi out to TB03 midi in, great they sync fine, tempo good, start/stop on the MC101 starts the TB03. After a few bars, I noticed the TB03 drop...

Re: This is where you can tell Roland what you want from the next MC101 firmware update
It would be good to have a blank measure at the end of real-time recording, this will prevent overlap from the last note to the beginning of the first and enable a flow to the loop. This is on my MC-303 and makes live note input much better and 100% successful. If they can implement this on a 1997 g...

Re: How do I access Sound Packs on the MC101??
I am having exactly the same issue. Like you, I have worked through the process to the letter. It still won't load. I think it might be a bug with the free sound pack.
