Holding in the Part button does... what?

I saw a video on youtube that showed that, if you hold in the Part button while in Scene mode, the Part button starts blinking and the four Oscillator Level sliders turn into Part Level sliders. Other than a single reference in a random youtube video, I have not seen this functionality documented an...

Re: Can a Jupiter-X(m) provide pre-mapped MIDI control for Zenology model expansions?

Hurrah! I did get the Jupiter-X to work as a control surface.
The trick was to enable the "Tone CC Map" option in the SYSTEM > MIDI menu...

Re: Can a Jupiter-X(m) provide pre-mapped MIDI control for Zenology model expansions?

Thank you so much for the reply Jon. Here's an interesting observation. I own both the System-8 and the Jupiter-X. The System-8 is automatically mapped to all Zenology model expansions. Even though the System-8 is ACB and supposed to be used with the older Plug-Out VSTs - I was surprised to see that...

Can a Jupiter-X(m) provide pre-mapped MIDI control for Zenology model expansions?

It is an incredibly useful way for me as a user to visualize and experience which knob or sl...

Re: KeySw, PartSw, ArpSw, what?

Thanks, yes I was referring to exactly that page. You'll notice that it does not explain what PartSw is. Hence my original question.

KeySw, PartSw, ArpSw, what?

Please help me understand the poorly documented functionality of the X(/m) On p18 of the Reference Manual it talks about assigning functions to the 1-15 buttons in Part Mode. This can be found under Menu>SYSTEM>CONTROLLER>Part Btn Asgn The functions that can be assigned to each button are described ...

Jupiter 8 Osc Sync is the wrong way around?

Have anyone noticed that, on the original Jupiter-8, the Sync function means that Osc1 triggers the cycle of Osc2. However, in the Jupiter X(m) JP8 model, it is implemented the other way around. Osc2 triggers Osc1. Does this matter? Probably, because the pitch of Osc1 can only be changed by the octa...
