Re: Keyboard Groups

One last thing needed to make keyboard groups extremely convenient - the ability to switch between them with Ctrl1/Ctrl2 pedals. Sometimes tempo is too fast or both hands are occupied, to be able to hit the pads button for switch to different group.

Re: Build of JDXi

My higher E key has just broken. Before i mostly programmed sequences, pattern sketches and designed sounds, but this month spent more time on soloing arpeggios and therefore keybed got more workout. I love my little JD-XI anyway, but that's not a pleasant moment. Will contact my shop tomorrow and se...

Re: 2.1 (or 2.5, or 3.0) Update Wish List!

My major wish is the improved sampler section. Back in 2014 this board user BuddhaPi listed all the shortcomings of sampler - 3 years passed and I personally have no beliefs that Roland will change something, but still : Here are some limitations of the FA sampler in case anyone is wondering: No pla...

Re: Official Juno-G replacements from Roland!

I wrote to Roland Germany (unfortunately there is no official Roland support in my country and Germany is not far away) if i could purchase the screen from them directly - got no answer. Maybe I should rather try UK Roland support (probably it was bad idea to write to german support office in englis...

Re: FA 06 Piano is thin, tinny, low volume, useless

Thank you Joe, it's always good to know practical experience from other musicians. I'll spend more time on adjusting levels and trying things out.

Re: FA 06 Piano is thin, tinny, low volume, useless

Thanks for opinion. I wonder how mixing engineers "protect" soft piano sound in rock or electronic compositions from being overdubbed by others in studio. In a live situation in a small club only chance to shine is when a piano part comes at the moment when guitarst turns off distortion an...

Re: FA 06 Piano is thin, tinny, low volume, useless

I was just thinking about same issue last evening. I play FA-06. When I select acoustic or electric piano and play it alone my ear adjusts to its volume and it sounds ok. But as soon as I add some synth patch in Studio Set - e.g. the one which could be downloaded from Axial (synth legends), synth pa...

Re: Acoustic guitar chords

That's a tricky one. If you want a sequence of chords in different scales to be preprogrammed, only viable option i see is to make an arpeggiator phrase for them. That's not the same of course and could be problematic if you are playing with live drummer :) But if you use juno-g drums syncing to tem...

Re: For Those Of Us Who Stuck By The Juno-G

have also given it a new lease of life in discovering that by running it through the new style of software filters and FX it sounds just as up to date as many of the newer boards. That ! When i'm running Juno-g in pair with Strymon El Capistan i can get brilliant ambient sound easily and i can get ...

Re: For Those Of Us Who Stuck By The Juno-G

Have same feeling here. I have bought FA-06/JD-XI which are great machines, but i find out that they are not replacing Juno-G. Juno has 4 individual outs (FA-06 only 2), Juno has different wave rom, Juno-G has some effects missing on FA-06 and it's synth sound is nice (i guess because it's based on ...

Re: New Juno DS Series

Judging by specs - it's Juno Di line continuation, can't be compared to FA-06/08. No mentioning of SuperNatural engine and other indicator - 3 MFX + chorus and reverb - specs typical for Juno-G & Juno-Di i guess. Fa line has more MFX-es and TFX if i remember correctly. Comparing to Juno-Di, i se...
