Re: MicroBR Mp3 slow down

It seems to vary a lot depending on the original. Some stuff gets distorted quite badly. Others, not so much. I have found that I've been able to use this for transcription on some material.

Re: Question about improvement of speed exporting tracks.

You might try just recording straight to mp3. I've been doing that for rehearsals and the occasional live show. It works fine for reference and you don't use up as much space on your card.

Re: Micro BR Rythm Advice

Yeah ... I think bounce is the only way to record the rhythm.

Re: Micro BR Rythm Advice

<t>I think it would be difficult to get the timing right when you're recording the guitar without some kind of reference. I would do it this way:<br/> - create a rhythm arrangement that starts with 2 measures of a basic beat (or metronome) and then goes into the style you want in the 3rd measure.<br...

Re: restoring data from computer to Micro BR

<t>If you still have the complete Roland folder on your computer hard disk, you should be able to copy that to the sd card. Otherwise, do you have another initialized sd card? Like the demo card that came with the unit ... or is that the one you are using? If neither of these works for you, maybe yo...

Re: Micro BR SD cards

Hi salsero ... I've had good results with the Kingston 1GB card. I've bought 2 so far: one with a card reader (so you don't have to use a USB cable). They seem to be sold for less than the Sandisk. At least at Future Shop where I got mine.

Re: Micro-BR converting my recordings to MP3

<t>Hey Spike ... glad the instructions were of some use. If you're listening to the results in mp3 mode, it should sound just the same as it did when it does in the multi-track recorder. That's why you should start by adjusting the levels, etc. before you start bouncing or mastering -- do the mix fi...

Re: Micro-BR converting my recordings to MP3

<t>I've never seen either of those messages. I notice the manual talks about too much or fragmented data in the case of the busy message, or possibly a slow-responding card. I've had good luck with regular (not high-speed) Kingston 1BG cards. They seem to sell for quite a bit less than the comparabl...

Re: Micro BR:Removing the silence

<t>I think you need to use the COPY function and copy the section you want to keep to a new v-track (or tracks). Then you can delete the original track. I'm assuming you're recording to multi-track, as opposed to mp3 or wav. You could probably do something similar using MOVE. <br/> <br/> I've been r...

Re: Micro BR live recording

Thanks, that's a great idea: figuring out the settings by playing a CD through the PA. I've been wanting to record some songs to see how the arrangements sound, but I don't want to disrupt the rehearsals too much by fiddling with the br. I'll just go early one night and get organized.

Re: External Mic for the Micr-BR - suggestions?

I'm also considering getting one of these. Do you find it is a lot better than the built-in mic? Also do you manage to get a good stereo image with the 2 mics so close together?

Re: Micro-BR converting my recordings to MP3

<r>I do this by mastering instead of bouncing, but I think you can do it either way. <br/> <br/> The first thing to do is make sure you have your track selections, levels and panning the way you want them. In other words, when you play back your song everything sounds the way you want it to.<br/> <b...

Re: Programming User Patches Micro BR

I haven't tried it myself, but I think that page 62+ of the manual "Editing the Insert effects settings" explains what you are looking for.
