Re: Cross Fade Volume Between 2 zones

Hi, As some tones don't have this full matrix control , You might want to do this with mfx outputlevel ; Tone1 (zone1) ... mfx output level on max. 127 ? Tone2 (zone2) ... mfx output level on min. 0? Let a cc message control the mfx outputlevel of both ? I did this with previous fantoms, no with the...

Re: No seemless sound switching from and to VTW organ sounds

Look in the "Tone Remain" section of the official specs at https://www.roland.com/fi/products/fantom-06/specifications/ It says, "Tone Remain does not apply to VTW Organ sounds" So... not a bug. Ok, I was looking in the Fantom-0 reference manual with scene and tone remain. <- im...

Re: No seemless sound switching from and to VTW organ sounds

I would say a bug. (or scene remain in is not correct explained in the manual imo)
Indeed annoying , :-/ on FA you can use a Tonewhee on all layers, so here kb sw groups is very usefull.

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

I believe the fantom0 should perform better (or atleast equal) than fa08 for SN piano s , for polyphony when using the hold pedal in continuous mode. But it doesn t. I don t see this as preconceived ideas. Please continue story telling in another thread. It has a lack of further info for this polyph...

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

Again: you are assuming it was not downgraded on purpose. Not talking about matching one keyboard with another, but it turns out truly asking for the same behaviour/performance. Ok, if you say that Roland did downgrade the SuperNatural piano behaviour on purpose on the fantom 0 , i think we can agr...

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

? Never talked about matching Fantom 0 with big Fantom ? I m quite happy with the weight of the fantom 0 btw.

I only explained the polyphony issue of the super natural piano s in the Fantom 0.
it s just software code wat needs to be checked and solved. Thats it.

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

As soon as Roland solves this in a software update i'm quite sure they will mention it in the bug fixes.

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

Good ! , please don't answer with 'don't use the hold pedal' but put release to +63 in zone settings :-) As you will understand, some parts of music needs hold pedal , some not , some half-pedalling. (btw, if you don't here dropouts when putting release to + 63 (which shouldn't be done as explained ...

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

Can you please ask your self, how can I play this without having this problem ? (With the problem I already did for you) Or at least try to agree that this kind of behaviour is not expected. (the recording is only 1 part , not much of orchestration) ADSR , <- no way (I'm holding down the pedal) CC# ...

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

Ok you here them leaving the scene. Great ! Achieved with only 1 sound = Super Natural Piano Homegrown, as you probably red above. (although reading your posts, I suspect you missed it , or disgarded it for a whatever reason). Anyhow, Is it wanted or expected result (knowing that the hold pedal is i...

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

FGM, come on Hold pedal was on for the whole time of this short pattern , voice stealing is happening on Fantom 08. to fast for the super natural piano's (this is not happening for PCM piano's). If you don't hear the bass notes dropping out (for example at :06 :07 seconds , while the hold pedal was ...

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

I wanted to see if this could be replicated on my regular Fantom, and it can be, so it doesn't seem to be a limitation particular to the Fantom-0. However interestingly, I can only replicate it if I hit a larger number of bass notes initially. If I strike only one or two (or maybe three or four - I...

Re: FANTOM 0x - SuperNatural Piano Polyphony issue

Exsn03 : homegrown. Different reverb (integra) and some eq ...any suggestion to make it better ? :-)

Thank you for confirming btw. An annoying sw bug, lets hope it gets fixed "soon".
