Re: Whi i Still Have Mi Gi
I agree with the sound quality but I have decided to boycott the Juno GI because of how many important features they omitted from the music-composition palette. Its not so much of the lack of sequencer and sampler that bothers me (compared to Juno-G) but rather the lack of sound editing (SOUND EDITI...

Re: Ebay: New Juno G has higher selling price than Juno GI.
V-Cee-Oh, sorry for the confusion mate. I just wanted to point out the MIDI implementation in some of their latest keyboards and was drawing parallels between GI and Jupiter 80 in terms of MIDI channels vs 'live instrument'. I am going to end up probably getting a sonic cell and buy 2 srx cards...th...

Re: Ebay: New Juno G has higher selling price than Juno GI.
I know Roland won't release midi and sampling in GI just because they still need to sell a lot of Fantom Gs. Now I think Fantom Gs are in a whole higher league with 16 insert effects (instead of 2+1 on the GI) but for some reason, the GI sounds fresher and nicer (at least as far as the live sets are...

Re: Ebay: New Juno G has higher selling price than Juno GI.
I sold Juno G because I was short of money at the time, not because I didn't like it. I then got the Fantom G thinking I can go one step up but was disappointed with some OS issues and initially, the acoustic presets. By the time I wanted to get a JunoG again, they sold out everywhere...and then ent...

Re: Ebay: New Juno G has higher selling price than Juno GI.
I agree with both of you about the rarity and the workstation capabilities.
The pity is that I sold my Juno G for $600 with freebies in new condition a few years ago....see what happens Roland when you make the wrong product decision? :(

Re: New Juno G.i with Logic Pro 9 video
Mike, you are the man. Best video I have ever seen in terms of production, presentation and useful content. Wish Roland hired you, Dan and Ed full time to make videos and supplemental product manuals instead of snippets here and there...this will avoid some of the frustration people have with roland...

Ebay: New Juno G has higher selling price than Juno GI.
My eyes are not tricking me: I have noticed that on Ebay, a new Roland Juno G is selling higher than a new Juno GI ($1000+ for the Juno G while $899-$999 + free shpping for Juno GI). Roland really needs to get straight....customers are not stupid, we know what we want. Heck, even Roland US customer ...

Re: JUNO GI HAVE SOUNDS FROM JUNO G?
Juno G was far better designed than the Juno GI. Juno G was a proper 'workstation' synth as yamahaforums posted above. wrong - juno g has way worse overall sounds set, especially pianos and EP's. Basically juno gi has juno stage soundset. I had both keyboards and I'd prefer juno gi without hesitati...

Re: JUNO GI HAVE SOUNDS FROM JUNO G?
Juno G was far better designed than the Juno GI. Juno G was a proper 'workstation' synth as yamahaforums posted above. Juno G had the following advantages: - 16 channel MIDI sequencer (you can even edit the notes via piano roll!!) - Programmable arpeggiator (fun to program!) - 4 track audio recorder...

Re: 16 part multi-timbral issue
dbsch, Go for the stage if you need the 16 part multi-timbral. It's got 76 keys (which really comes in handy when you need many different zones/layers), but is still light. The keybed is much better than the G or Gi, so it's easier to play. 2 SRX expansion slots make it easy to expand to suit your ...

Re: Juno GI Editor Software?
Naaah, none of this is useless energy. If you think this is useless energy, then why not just sit at home and play with your juno GI and let the others do the action? To all the guys fighting the good fight, keep it up. Roland HQ (Japan) will hear us eventually. It is true that Roland does not have ...

<r>This thing is a best! Kronos is good but its still a digital synth and sounds a little like M3 (though better synth engines and resolution). You could get somewhat similar with M3 and a nice effects processor on your computer. <br/> <br/> DSI Roger Linn Tempest is simply amazing on the other hand...

Re: Kronos! Ooh...Ahhh!!
Its truly an amazing synth. Only thing that sucks is the sequncer. It doesn't even seem to have M3 xpanded stuff in it. It uses the old Oasys sequencer.
