Re: does anybody know what da v code patch sais in english??
<t>A mate of mine who speaks Latin and trained as a priest listened to it. He reckons it's just words put together to sound Latin without meaning anything. It's a bit like the Police albums, 'regatta de blanc' and 'zenyatta mondatta' or something. <br/> <br/> JJ <br/> <br/> It's funny. I'm sitting a...

Modulation Wheel on V-Synth 2.0
<t>Hi folks <br/> <br/> My beloved V-Synth seems to have developed a fault and I'd like to correct it. <br/> <br/> The pitch bend function works fine but the modulation part (forward and back) doesn't seem to reset to zero and throws in pitch bend spike commands. This doesn't happen when I use the p...

Re: Is my Sh201 Stuck?
<t>SORTED! <br/> <br/> I opened the 201. I also have photos - how do I post them? There are around 28 screws to remove in order to remove the bottom. <br/> <br/> On opening the synth, it turned out that all my disfunctioning switches were on a single circuit board. This meant removing all of the swi...

Re: Is my Sh201 Stuck?
<t>Uncanny. <br/> <br/> My EDIT and preset 7 buttons do not work. Also the FX, preset 6 and preset 8 keys' red lights light up but are very dim. Does anyone please have a fix for this? I notice a post above by Jay: <br/> <br/> "EDIT: Re seating every internal ribbon fixed it." <br/> <br/> Please cou...
Re: help?
<t>The SH-201 at our local music shop did much the same thing. You could select the preset group but not the user. In the end, it had had so much demo abuse that it had to go back to Roland to get fixed. There are a couple of threads under the 201 banner with this problem.<br/> <br/> I had mine for ...

Re: New Planets should be ready in August
Art, I love the second patch on the demo; a sort of Mellotron hybrid. I'd love to sit down with a cup of coffee for a couple of hours and just chat about sound.
Please keep up the great work; it's appreciated by creative vacuums like me.

How Do I Patch Change With Pedal
<t>Hi folks<br/> <br/> I'm trying to change the patches with the Roland DP-2 footswitch plugged into CTRL-2. Any suggestions how this can be done? I've been through the manual and know how to get to the controller page to assign a CC to the pedal, but which one?<br/> <br/> All the best<br/> <br/> jj...

Re: JX-3P
<t>Back to your original question, $100 is a great price for a JX-3P in mint condition. As far as I'm aware, it was Roland's first MIDI synth and also the first to have DCOs which meant it didn't wander out of tune. The MIDI was basic, and if you wanted to save your 32 user memories you had to use a...

Re: Roland AX-synth
At last!!!!!!!!!!
I wondered when these boffins at Roland would replace the ageing AX-1 and 7.
Does anyone have any idea how this wee gem would be priced? I'm guessing around the same price as a SH-201.
Roll on July.

PK-5 vs PK-5A
Can someone please tell me the difference (if any) between the PK-5 and the PK-5A midi pedals?
Thank you.

Patch Palette Lights
<t>I think I have a problem; it's not a stopper but perhaps someone can help with a technical query.<br/> <br/> I have a V-Synth V2.0. When a patch is selected from the patch palette, is the associated light in the patch palette button supposed to light continuously? For example, if I select NUMBER ...
