Insert the Lo-Fi PFX onto the kick and snare, and use the Mastering processor to compress it all to hell.

There's something else going on. Doesn't happen here at all. Make sure soft thru's not on, make sure your KBD switches for your external parts are all off (except for 1). Make sure the internal part's KBD switch is off...

Start by applying the LoFi MFX processor and tweaking it from there. A lot of that sound comes from lower bit and sample rates.

What does "sync" mean? What are you trying to accomplish? 90% of the time, when people say "sync", they mean something else.

Also make sure you're using a proper 75-ohm S/PDIF cable, not a regular RCA. They're typically thick blue cables with gold connectors.
