MP3 load time- SONICCELL
<t>Ive recently added more MP3s to my drive and now it takes like 5 or 6 seconds for a song to start. I have the new OS which coincided with adding more MP3s. Either its the new OS causing this or the fact that I am over 1GB of info on the stick. Before, when I had just less than 1GB, there was no l...

To be honest
If you don't know what cables to use, you are not anywhere NEAR ready to record. How would you even HAVE this gear if you don't even know about cables already?

Updates
What does the editor update do? Nothing on that UK site tells.
I think I will wait til the USA site has both updates before I do anything. As far as I know, the BIOS only helps some loading times?

Thats one for your controller manual
<t>Your manual for controller will tell you how to transmit midi info. For instance, on my Fatar controller, there is a midi channel button you hold down then press the keys for midi channel (the low c = 1 c#=2 etc etc. Then same for midi controller number , then value of that controller. If I were ...

GO to Page 246 in manual
<t>Bottom of left column begins control change info. At top of right column are the bank select numbers to get to the different user, preset or GM banks. For instance, I do not DARE to use the GM drums (worst snares I have ever heard in my life- very harsh). When I make my midi files, I start with C...

Roland techs told me 198 total songs
You can have 99 playlists WITHIN the PLAYLIST LIBRARY, but the LIBRARY can have only 99 songs. Each playlist in this case would have to have one song each. If you can tell us how you've gotten more than 99 in the library instead of just saying you can, then I will be a believer, thanks.

GM and Non-GM
<t>You can use Non GM in your midi files. You have to tell the SC what bank to use though. For instance, on Channel 10, due to the super poor GM drum sets (those snares are the worst ever), I set controller number 0 to value of 0 and then controller number 32 to value of 86 , then Prog Change to val...

FYI LOADING and MP3 RECOGNITION
The window will STILL show that it is loading even if the MP3's are not "recognized". As i said, the only ripper that makes my MP3's recognized is I-TUNES.

WHY MP3 NOT RECOGNIZED
<t>Another major software flaw of the CELL is that it doesn't recognize MP3's ripped using most programs. I had tried Nero, Creative, Yahoo Jukebox and Windows Media ripping to MP3- NONE WERE RECOGNIZED. I had forgotten I-tunes was preloaded on my DELL and used that - GOLD !!!!! If you have I-tunes,...

I use 4 GB
<t>I use a 4GB drive with no probs. The only drawback using WAV files would be load time. Not sure WHY it takes so long for a load of 150 total MP3s, but it does- 3 minutes or so. 150 MID files takes 10 seconds. It must load beginning of each mp3 into a buffer or something. The 99 song limit in both...
