Exported Samples Lower in Volume?
<t>I was finally able to get a sample I exported out of my Xa to play on my laptop, but the volume has been lowered significantly, almost in half. I can turn it up a lot louder in ableton except any increase causes clipping. <br/> <br/> I normalized the sample once already in the Xa before exporting...

Re: Exporting Wav Samples out of Xa to PC
<t>I should also add that I tried to convert the file to Mp3 and WMA to see if that would allow it to play, but both of the converter progams I tried said the file was "copy protected".<br/> <br/> Is that normal for the files to be copy protected?<br/> <br/> If yes, how do you unprotect them?<br/> <...

Re: Exporting Wav Samples out of Xa to PC
Okay. So I figured out how to get the wav file to my computer, but I'm not able to play the file in any program. Its a ".wav" file, but it says it not readable.
Is there a program I need to convert it to a readable format?

PLEASE HELP sp606 w/ midi controller
<t>I got the sp606 connected to an external midi keyboard and I can play the stock sounds from the sp606 with the keys on the keyboard, but when I change to a new pad bank with my own samples, the keyboard still triggers the stock samples even though that pad bank isn't even selected anymore.<br/> <...

Re: SP606
<t>Thanks, thats good news!<br/> <br/> I recently read on another forum that using the 606 as an audio interface can cause latency issues?<br/> <br/> I thought latency was only a factor when dealing with midi interfaces. If your recording an audio signal only, I didn't think there could be latency?<...

SP606
<t>Can the sp606 be used with any software sequencing program, when used solely as an audio interface? Or does it have to be a cakewalk product?<br/> <br/> For my purposes, I have ableton live lite 6 and an alesis hardware synth. I'd like to use the sp606 to record my synth through into ableton as a...

Re: Boss Br 864
<t>Thanks, <br/> <br/> Yeah, on a tight budget right now. Just looking for something to record my synth to as a hobby for now. Originally I had narrowed my search down to the 600, but didn't have enough for it, so I was still saving. Then I came across the 864 that seems like the same thing for abou...

Re: Boss Br 864
<t>Thanks Paulo, <br/> <br/> Thats exactly what I wanted to know. Thats cool you got a fantom. I had a fantom xa once and loved it, but had to sell it. I've got an alesis qs8 now which is nice, but has no sequencer/recording device so I'm looking for the least expensive, yet good quality multitrack....

Boss Br 864
<t>Been looking for a cheap $100-$200 used digital multitrack and love the br600's ability to load custom drum samples into the onboard drum machine. Except, its a little more than I can afford right now. <br/> <br/> Then I came across the Br864 which seems to be almost identical for my needs, excep...

Re: Juno Sample Editing
Thanks Artemiy,
Would I be able to change the pitch/tempo of a loop I sampled, then autochop it into 8 parts, onto 8 keys only, for triggering? Instead of the sample being mapped across the keybed at an increasing pitch.
Thanks

Juno Sample Editing
<t>Is it possible to change the pitch of a sample by increasing/decreasing its tempo in the Juno G, to create the high-pitched "chipmunk" sound, for example?<br/> <br/> I've read you can time-stretch, which I believe is to change the tempo without affecting its pitch, but can the previous be done?<b...

Re: maybe getting a Juno G
<t>I never really understood the difference between a pattern based sequencer and a linear sequencer since you can make patterns within a linear sequencer and vice versa. <br/> <br/> If you usually make 8-10 patterns(loops) and string them together in a pattern sequencer, what is the difference to s...
