Re: Anyone in Conn. who can help with basic Juno G operation

Where are you in CT? There is a Roland DVD on how to use it that I found useful.

Fantom S Editor w/ Macbook Pro

SO I finally bit the bullet and bought a new music computer- a MacBook Pro. So far so good until I tried to get the editor from Roland to work on my Mac. No matter which version (powerpc or older) neither editor works on the new Mac. Has anyone found a work around? I emailed Roland but have yet to h...

Re: Just got a Roland AX-1

Do a search online for a PDF version of the manual and it will help you tremendously. The presets are all over the place and they turn things off and on in whats seems to be no particular pattern. I use wireless midi with mine and it is great. People love it when you come out into the audience! The ...

Re: NEW SCREEN UPDATE/INFO

Well Staunch's contrast issue seems strange. But I am still sticking to a connection issue for right now as I interpret the gibberish on the screen as a communication problem. The last of staunch's pictures says that to me, looks like only half the screen got updated. Can you try to use a contact cl...

Re: NEW SCREEN UPDATE/INFO

I have had other synths do very strange things for this exact reason. Once i cleaned and reseated the connectors on my D-110 it worked perfect.

NEW SCREEN UPDATE/INFO

I got my G back last night from Upscale Music (my local authorized repair center) and he showed me the old screen and told me it is an updated version. I asked what the difference is and the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the main board was two pieces in the past. There was an intermediate...

Re: My 2nd LCD ... and broken again..

I plan on getting my screen fixed and when I find an X6 I will sell my Juno G. I am really kind of annoyed at Roland.. Bought a Juno D and the keys kept dieing now the G is giving my problems! I need to get rid of both!

Re: D-10 Power-up problems

<t>My D-110 started to act strange, seemed to be constantly rebooting and reseting. I thought it was the cord had internally broke. As a last ditch effort because the meter showed no signs of issues with the cord I pulled each ribbon cable connector and reseated them. That worked like a charm. Pull ...

Re: so when juno-g will get new keybed?

That really nice Fantom keybed adds to the weight of the keyboard in total. One of he main reasons I am so happy with the G is its weight. Fantoms are heavy!! I love the sound of my Farfisa VIP600 but no way I would bring it to a gig! lol...

Re: so when juno-g will get new keybed?

I don't as much mind the G's keyboard honestly. I have had it well over a year now and it hasn't acted up. Now the keyboard on the D is horrible!!! I have taken mine apart already once to clean it because keys stop working or lose their velocity sensitivity. Really annoying!

Re: Why you choose Juno G?

<t>KRE8A- I remember that feeling when I was a young lad and I went into Lasalle music store, saw their synthsizer selection and being utterly amazed. I swear I heard the angels sing! But that could have been an AH patch.. The year was 1988 but still there were some pretty cool synths back then. Up ...

Blues4Dog,

Thanks for the recommendations, I will give them a listen. I know I have used the Big Spin.

Unfortunately I don't have the SRX card maybe one of these days!

Re: Juno 106 Chip refurb

<r>Ok rechecked my solder joints on chip #4 so I don't think that is the problem. I think I need to just perform the calibration procedure to fix the quiet #4 voice. <br/> <br/> Here is the link: <URL url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4lF0xSVQlg">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4lF0xSVQlg</URL> <...

Re: Improving Juno-G and SRX-07 piano patches!

Blues4dog,

Not to get off topic but above you mention you mostly use B3 sims. Which are your favorite? I have a favorite B3 patch on the Juno D that I use but would like to have one on the G as well. Sorry to get off the piano patches but..
