Re: Couple of questions before buying

In the way of conventional acoustic sounds it’s pretty poor it has some basic PCM samples as waveforms based on acoustic instruments but the JDXA is more a synth using the Supernatural Synth Engine and the analogue synths engine.

Re: System 8 - Poly Plugouts.

I saw this coming has soon as the Juno and Jupiter synths were made as plugins along with the system 8 itself. devaluing the System 8 is a mere controller and not a good one at that. With its rather short key bed, plastic chassis and no after touch i sold mine before prices came down.

Re: D-05

I've done an A/B comparison with the D550, D05 and the V-Synth XT with the D50 built in card. The D05 is more closer to the original than the V-Synth version (although the D05 utilises the original VC1 code and they've updated it). The D05 does sound more fuller and richer on come of the complex sou...

Re: JV-1080 coming soon!

I installed it straight away - some of the patches are unusable today but I do notice it has the JV2080 and XV waveforms too. Hope the SRX expansions start coming.

Re: Anthology 1986

The System 8 isn't dead, but the amount of plug-outs for it will be minimal as they are looking to expand their subscription base for the cloud. PSS is right having an outboard synth with practically 4 polyphonic synths inside isn't that bad for £1299?

Re: Roland Cloud impossible to use thanks to mega CPU hog

I use the SH2, Jupiter 8, System 8 and Juno106 Plugins on an i5 (2014) Mac with 16gb RAM no issues as yet. Only once instance of each though.

Re: Three Fixes We Need to RD-2000 Operating System

Just an update on connecting an iOS device to the RD 2000, you can actually do this; The RD-2000 can connect to an Apple iOS device via USB using the Apple Camera Connector Kit (or Lightning to USB Camera Adapter for newer iOS models with the lightning connector). Use the following procedure to set ...

Re: Ipad App/Mac editor

Even if Roland brought an editor out similar to the VR editor that would do me. Enough to basically edit the synth sounds, graphic representation of the organ sounds.

Re: New Owner - Question re: Hierarchy/OS

I understand Roland designing this as a Stage Piano however i would have expected more control over editing the synth sounds. A bit like you can do on the VR keyboards.

Re: Three Fixes We Need to RD-2000 Operating System

I agree, i almost bought the Yamaha MX88 for that very reason with connection to an ipad. I only got my RD2000yesyerdsy so just getting used to it, i intend to bring in outboard gear to control. One thing i would really like is to be able to edit all the synth sounds i was slightly puzzled you can’t...

Re: Next Generation of System series

Roland Cloud basically killed off the System 8. Horrible keybed no 3rd OSC and no after touch warrants it not needed when everything can be had as plugins

Re: Anthology 1986

You will get the Jx8P and that will also plug-out to the S8 (and will be the last poly plug-out for the S8) the next plugout synth coming is in Q1 or Q2 2018 and will be compatible with two ACB's but more over it will be mainly about DCB's but like the concept for the JDXA it will allow cross over o...

Re: Managed to use USB driver - Mac OSX 10.12.4 Sierra :)

I've had the V-synth XT for years and initially had it when Windows XP was out, when Windows 7 and above was released the drivers stopped being supported. So moved to normal MIDI through my Studio Capture for it. Then went to Mac so forgot all about MIDI USB? So it works? Also didn't even know the v...
