Re: The New Roland Integra 7

Yes, all twelve SRX boards are in the Integra-7. Plus, the Behavior Modeling SuperNatural sound engine from the JP-80/JP-50 and the drums are powered by a V-Drums sound engine. (You can load patches from the JP-80/JP-50 into it as well.) Plus, it has all the sounds from the 1080 and 5080. And you ca...

Re: New keyboard from Roland???

It drives me crazy when people speculate, like the dude in this video, about what any company is rumored to have coming out. (The iPhone 6 rumors are enough for me. Please.) I am not surprised that the guy in the video would like the G piano over the Motif or Kronos. (Follow me @DanFromRoland.)

Re: contact to Roland

Firstly, person's can always contact me via my twitter account, @DanFromRoland, if they have questions, complaints or just want to debate gear. The one topic I don't comment on or get involved with is suggestions for new products. There are too many intellectual property trolls out there looking for...

Re: What ! Jupiter-80 goes wireless musikmesse 2012

Yes, it's very cool. Because of the new processor that resides in our more recent instruments, wireless communication is possible. You simply insert the USB key into the JP-80's USB port (the one used for backup or playing audio files) and you can now transmit wireless MIDI or audio to your iPhone, ...

Free JP-80 iPad Controller App Using MIDI Touch

I've been experimenting with the iPad and the JP-80 and came up with what I think is a handy control surface for the Jupiter-80. I'm sharing this with forum members for free. The “JP-80 Mixer” runs via the MIDI Touch app which can be found on the iTunes app store. You will also need the Apple Camera...

New Video: Saving SuperNATURAL Acoustic Tones / Backup

In the recent Summer 2011 edition of Sound On Sound, there was a misprint stating that you cannot save the SuperNATURAL Acoustic tones in the Jupiter 80. That's not accurate. You very much can save edits to the SuperNATURAL Acoustic sounds. Each tone comprises both the sound element, its Behavior Mo...

New Video: 256 Registrations & Thousands of Live Sets

This video helps explain the number of "Registrations" in the Jupiter 80 (a "registration" is a fancy word for "performance" or "combination mode") and how many are available: 256. Also, there are thousands of preset "Live Sets" that come with the Ju...

Re: SonicState JUPITER-80 preview video

The one with Scott is an awesome demonstration of it's potential: http://sonicmp4.s3.amazonaws.com/messe11_roland_jp-80.mp4 Regarding supposed lack of "controllers": I would argue that you have more control then in any previous synth because the controllers all change functionality via the...
