Fantom G sucks, everybody agree with this so you wanna stay with G???

I would take X over G any time of the day (and night) - X is great workstation, G is ...retarded and abandoned kid by roland.

G stands for "Ghost" in Fantom G name so you won't see it but it's there.

Just got my expansion Kit for my GX and wonder if sound of the SN piano will be the same as from NX, anybody

PHIII keyboard is very kids unfriendly. After playing kids have nightmare and they hear voices...

NX is black beauty and FP series is ugly...
Not to mention built quality is higher in stage pianos because it has to be road ready.

get a specs from rolandus.com and compare. There are many differences like PHIII versus PHII keys, lack of expansion slots on NX, SN piano is not included on GX so need to get SN piano KIT and install. Personally I'd go for NX. Thanks for the reply.....what is your assessment of the piano sound....is it comparable to the Rd700? We own 3 rd500's and are happy with the live sound and feel so am not interested in making a change to a lighter board if the piano sound at least isn't going to be great. as far as I know you cannot export individual tracks.

i didn't like the feel of the keybed. it feels NOTHING like the PHA2 or PHA3's the RD700/Vpiano/FantomG8 are known for. it's like a mushy soft heavier than synth action. no comment on the sound as it wasn't hooked up while i visited the store. :) I agree, action is not the best but playable.
