Re: The 35.Analog Bed arpeggio settings

Wow!! Thank you Cello!!! I wasn't expecting this at all. Your pictures reminded me of how beautiful GT's screen is. Just beautiful... I'll try my best to do something worth listening. Hopefully I'll be able to reproduce this amazing sound... I'll try my best to keep it low on effects and focus more ...

The 35.Analog Bed arpeggio settings

Hi! It's been a long since I've posted here, and this time I'm not posting as a GT user, but more like an interested musician with some nostalgic feelings... I'm trying to reproduce this sound using my new synth (Mutable Instruments Ambika) and I'm not quite getting what the arpeggio settings for th...

Re: First V-Synth GT Video

Thanks mate! I'm glad you enjoy it!!
Don't worry about me... this was just a consequence of my love for analog synthesizers.
I kind of like the V and have been really happy with it, but it's time to part with it...

Cheers!

Re: First V-Synth GT Video

Just wanted to share a new video with you guys. I'm selling it and this is probably my last weekend with it.
I've done a few videos this weekend to show how nice it can sound if you want it. :)

Just tell me what you guys think about it!

Re: Advice needed

I wouldn't advise you to buy the V. It's a great synth, but for the things you want, it doesn't really shine. From what I hear, you want a synthesizer to work with standard synthesis, and that's the V's weakness. It's raw analog oscillators are mediocre and won't make you happy. Maybe that's not wha...

Re: Very tempted to buy JU80

I have played with the JP-80 and liked it for lush pad sounds... BUT, if I had to choose, it wouldn't be mine. I've read that you want to create your own synthesizer sounds... if you want digital at it's best, the VIRUS TI2 is your choice. I don't have a lot of experience with it, but played the Sno...

Re: First V-Synth GT Video

Not even one good soul to comment on this?
:(

I hope next time I make something better... maybe more musical.

First V-Synth GT Video

Just wanted to share my first experience making a video for the V. Just showing some sounds, nothing really impressive... it was basically just a test.

I'd appreciate some feedback regarding the quality of video, camera angle......

Cheers!!

Re: Repository of Sound re-designed :)

It is looking good! :)
Congratulations for this new design. I was a webdesigner in my earlier youth and I know it's good to get some compliments.

Cheers!

Re: Altered States Project

Thank you SoundWorld. I'm going to test them all as soon as I get a new USB Drive... mine is gone, with a lot of work inside of it, without backup. I've lost a project I was doing with waveforms from my Moog, and it was very good. Now I need the strenght to keep on and begin a new project. I'm curre...

Re: Physical Modeling (This is cool)

This is my final statement in an explanatory way… I'll follow this post answers, so feel free to argue. @Dany I received your message… :) I had the GAIA and played with it quite a lot. I never stated that the JP-80 sounds like the GAIA… what I said is that the JP-80 sound is closer to the GAIA than ...

Re: Physical Modeling (This is cool)

Dewdman, I think you have a point. I know it's not a V-Synth forum, but I thought the discussion would be nice. I'll stop my comments... it isn't worth the debate. Unfortunately almost everyone will take it as a "personal" attack when it isn't... I don't understand the fanatism people have...

Re: Physical Modeling (This is cool)

A) - If your opinion is based on a thorough 1:1 comparison-test under studio conditions, then I will accept and respect your own opinion. B) - If you never did a thorough 1:1 comparison-test under studio conditions, then all your above comments are nothing but polemic nonsense without any serious f...

Re: Physical Modeling (This is cool)

I haven't mangled away enough on the Jupiter-80 for a direct comparison, but I do know that the VA section on the V is a mighty heavy duty machine I'vé just compared the V-Synth's oscillators with the Little Phatty's... it's kind of embarrassing for Roland. It's OSC are extremely weak in comparison...
