For Those Of Us Who Stuck By The Juno-G

I feel the years have payed off. I bought mine brand new back in '08. I was overwhelmed by the interface and knew nothing of synths, but as I learned more about synthesis my skill programming the Juno-G has increased to the point where now I can easily dial in whatever I'm imagining. I think it's a ...

JD-XI firmware update on filter

Can anyone chime in on how the firmware update did on smoothing out the stepping on the analog filter? Did it double the resolution from 128 to 256? Thanks!

Re: Microtuning on the Juno-G?

Microtuning would be good for playing in different scale tunings, like Arabian. I make experimental music so different tunings are something I want to play around with.

Microtuning on the Juno-G?

I'm guessing this is a longshot but can the Juno-G be microtuned?

Juno-G as a master sync

I am not too familiar with the Juno-G's midi capabilities and the manual is flying over my head. I'd like the Juno-G to send out midi sync to my Volca but I don't want it to send note information. Can I configure the Juno-G's midi to send out sync only and let me play away without sending out note i...

Re: Ultimate Grand for juno G

I know this a years old thread, but now that my Juno-G is gonna be back up and running I'd like to get this file for it, but unfortunately it's so old that it's no longer at the 4shared link! Is this file available anywhere else? Thanks, I'd much appreciate it!

Re: I have joined the ranks...

Credit where credit is due: Roland is coming through on this. If you are an original owner it is taken care of! I'm quite relieved since I started looking around for current replacements and was surprised to find that the Juno-G is the only workstation (at the $1k level) with all of the features it ...

I have joined the ranks...

...of the LCD downtrodden. I should be grateful I got five good years out of it. Now it is a spazzy, jumpy, jumbly, mixed up mess. I emailed Roland but don't expect much and honestly I don't want to sink any money into fixing it (especially when there is no definitive fix). Alas!

New Analogs and Roland

I love analog gear and am pretty happy with this new "analog renaissance" that seems to be spreading around lately (although not necessarily pleased with the "race to the bottom" in terms of cheapness/quality). I'd also love to see Roland create their own take on this. In the ana...

Re: LCD Fixed (no need to replace)

Wow! Thanks for posting. I haven't had mine conk out on me yet but would be great to know that this relatively simple fix could be the answer to a lot of frustrated folk's problems.

Re: LCD Question

Thanks for the reply. I found that my issue is affected by the settings on the contrast knob. If I tweak it a bit the vibrating goes away on those few screens. You are definitely right about one thing, doesn't matter if you have a "working" screen or not, they do just plain suck. I guess I...

Re: LCD Question

Another update. So I've found that when I do a factory reset that the next time I turn on the Juno-G there is no issue with any of the screens. But by the next time I turn it on the screen has the aforementioned issue where the bottom half of the screen gets fuzzy. I only get it on the modulation de...

Re: LCD Question

A quick update: I did a factory reset which alleviated the problem... Doesn't make any sense. Before I was able to reproduce it consistently.

Edit: Same thing came back a couple days later. It is baffling.
