Re: Jim Stout Patches

Thanks Billy, Actually, the 1st 3 lead parts other than the horn are the old "MONO GT LEAD" played on the XT since the GT was handling all of the sax parts. The wah-wah lead guitar near the end is "RU Experienced", again played on the XT since the big chords were being played on ...

Re: Jim Stout Patches

Here is my GT Sound Set List so those interested will know what to expect. In my haste I had inadvertently left out the most excellent Richard Devine patches and so went back and found 45 of the 55 patches most worthy of addition. Just as a caveat, I do not do Techno, Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Flip Flop or...

Re: Jim Stout Patches

Well there you go Billy! We might have guessed that all of those earbashing knockers that didn't stay with you would screw you in the end mate! LOL! This exercise has given me the opportunity to not only start using the Edit Lib's but to also get very familiar with both of my V's. As cello alluded t...

Re: Jim Stout Patches

A big thanks to Mr. Jim Stout who was kind enough to provide these patches gratis in the first place. We are very very lucky and here's why: back in the 90's, I spent thousands of dollars on Roland and Korg sound card sets as well as 3rd party ones like Voice Crystal, Sound Source Unlimited and Kid ...

Re: Jim Stout Patches

Well the "Tommy" project isn't just corrupted for the GT, it also fails to load on the XT as well. Then I had the bright idea of just loading 10-20 patches and waves from it at a time to see if I could determine where the stinker was...no dice! Gets a different error message than on the GT...

Re: Jim Stout Patches

Thank you very much for that kind outlet cello. I received your e-mail and I will Zip the files and send ASAP so everyone else that needs them can have them too! I just saw the video the other day on the Forum where Mr. Stout turned the GT into a flamethrower so I know some of the videos are still t...

Re: Jim Stout Patches

I just checked and I still have a folder marked Stout Patches on my computer. I don't know if they're exactly what was offered before, but the folder is about 78 Meg in size so there are a lot of different variations (Granular, Analog, etc.) in there with the big ones being 1st Choice and 2nd Choice...

Re: The Soundworld finally gets Jupiterized!

Thanks for the warm greetings all. In my haste on the last post, I forgot to add in my Fantom XR to the lineup. Having recently moved and after re-doing the Soundworld (miles and miles of wires!) I went through all of my User banks and catalogued and made quickie lists of all of the modules. I had f...

The Soundworld finally gets Jupiterized!

It's been quite a while since I've been on the Clan Forum and after figuring out how to log back in I thought I would drop by to say that I've finally joined the JP-80 club and man am I ever glad I did. The rock band that I played in back in the 70's (OK, so I'm an old fart!) had a Jupiter-8 and a J...

Re: New Videos From Jim Stout

<t>Wonderful stuff Mr. Stout! As usual, your unusual kindness in doing all of these gratis shows a remarkable flair for helping others understand the mighty V. Are you still in Austin? I didn't even know you were doing work for OL, but glad you are back to "doing what you do best!" <br/> <br/> I sec...

Re: New Videos From Jim Stout

<t>Yet more great videos Jim!<br/> <br/> I always just passed right by the Filter Bank patches, not knowing what they were...not any more!<br/> <br/> And, I don't think I will be able to look at CRAB BOILS in the same way ever again. Simply awesome!<br/> <br/> I'm getting goosebumps already thinking...

Re: New Videos From Jim Stout

<t>Agreed on the Vocal Designer. It should be required that all XT and GT owners should watch those Tonee McGuire videos!<br/> <br/> I don't know what a melodyne is either Iggy, but don't call the Doogenator a freak! lol<br/> <br/> Actually, "back in the day" we hippies were actually called by that ...

Re: New Videos From Jim Stout

<t>Thanks Jim, Man I'm lining up for those patches! To me, they're like seed material for new tunes.<br/> <br/> My GT came with version 1, but I quickly upgraded to v. 2. I also downloaded the analog project from the Roland website, but then found out that you can just load either v.1, analog, or v....

Re: New Videos From Jim Stout

<t>Hey fellow Texan!<br/> <br/> Loved the XT video you did at the 2006 NAMM Jim. I was left wondering where you got that mean Mad Orchestra patch though!<br/> <br/> Thanks to Artemiy and the helpful people on this site, I was able to download all of the version 1 and 1.52 patches as well as many oth...

Thanks so much!

<t>Thanks first to Art for helping to register me. Secondly to Cromio and Septimo for making these patches that I was hot for easily available.<br/> <br/> Before, all I could do is helplessly read the forum but I couldn't reply or ask anyone for help!<br/> <br/> Anyway, I have a lot of Roland gear a...
