Re: adding effects to drum kits

Hi Junos, Yes it's possible. In patch mode select one of the drumkits (909 808 kit for example) and press EDIT. Select EFFECT EDIT and you will find a 0 left of the REVERB (input level). Increase this value to a level you like and you may also want to edit the REVERB parameters. This affects the sou...

Re: XP-30 as second board for JS?

Just some extra information: I think you should not pay more than US$ 350,- for a used model. Make sure you play it before you buy it and check all keys, buttons, sliders, knobs and the display. I have never had a smart media card and I think you don't need it either. It's not a user memory expansio...

Re: XP-30 as second board for JS?

Great combination! So you're considering to buy a used XP-30? I have bought one new in 1999 or 2000 and still use it, now as a second keyboard above my Juno Stage (with SRX-07 board). I think it's a great combination and it really works for me! Also my fellow band members love it. I have the "K...

Re: Just ordered a Juno Stage today

The D-bar organ sounds are indeed the best organ sounds in the Juno Stage, still I like the ones in the SRX-07 better. I have a SRX-07 installed since one year and I also love the Mellotron-sounds and certain synth waveforms (i.e. T5/T8-sync).

I'm very confident it wil! Are you and the shop gonna split the costs, or anything like that?

Re: Juno Stage Key Audio and Velocity Issues After Repair

Hey Mr. W.R.M. Designs, I think replacing 'the strip' and the PCB's I mentioned, could be one and the same thing. I wasn't talking about ALL of the PCB's, it's just the ones in the keybed. As far as I understood, in my Juno Stage they replaced the PCB's that contain the key-contacts, and I suppose y...

Re: Juno Stage Key Audio and Velocity Issues After Repair

Hi wrmdesigns, Some time ago I had my Juno Stage repaired (full waranty) because of velocity-issues (see: http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=25759 ). All circuitboards of the keybed were replaced, and it fixed all velocity problems for me. I think you should ask your Service Cente...

Re: Sonar X3 and Roland Juno Stage using Roland UM-One Midi

Hello Artist,

First of all, you don't need the um-1, since the Juno Stage had its own USB Midi interface. You can record midi in Sonar as well as audio. It's up to you what you want, but if you want to record audio from the Juno Stage, you have to connect it to an audio-interface (or line-in).

Re: Gold on the Ceiling?

Hi DoctorG, I can definitely recommend the SRX-07 board for organ sounds. I bought a used one for 120 euro. If you're not convinced, take a listen to some of the patches at this page: http://www.synthmania.com/srx-07.htm I also own the original Keyboards of the '60's&'70's-board (SR-JV80-08) and...

Re: S1 switch problem

Francoran, At the moment my JS is in the bands truck, and I won't be getting it home in the next few days, so I can't investigate this at the moment. As soon as I'm on to the solution, I'll let you know and I'll try to upload a performance. Btw, have you tried setting the mfx-source to performance i...

Re: S1 switch problem

Hi Francoran, I did this many times, not only for the rotary effect, without any problem, so it must be possible to save your selection of the part which the controls are affecting. I can't recall how I did it, and I don't have my Juno Stage here at the moment, but this is what the manual tells you ...

Re: System Update 1.05 Released today!

Update history [ Ver.1.05 ] [ Bug Fixes ] The following bugs were fixed. The Rhythm Edit screen freezes during processing. After power-on, the pitch changed. Shortly after start up, the JUNO-STAGE doesn't perform by the setting value of the "Keyboard Velocity Sens." It does by the initial ...

Re: master volume pedal

Yes you can. As a matter of fact, I do. And for every patch (or even tone) you can assign some different parameters to the expression. For some patches I use it to control volume, for some organ sounds I use it as the rotary slow/fast switch, and for many pads I control the filter cutoff with it. Wo...
