Basic questions about the sequencer.

How do you erase just a single note from a sequence?

Re: Anybody else copying from other Synths.

Great learning curve.
The XA and S8 are brilliant tools for synthesis.

Re: System 8 as midi controller for Integra 7

Sadly the CC codes are different between the integration and system 8. E.g Filter cutoff on Integra-7 is CC74, but its CC3 on the System 8 Thanks. I already have S8 so I might as well get the a49 and move my mini brute elsewhere, which is a shame but hey ho, I want to use the I7 to it's full potent...

Anybody else copying from other Synths.

I sold my second Waldorf Blofeld. Why? because I could copy my favourite sounds onto my System 8. They sound even better on the S8. Neocrest, Saworgy etc.

Anybody else copying from other synths.

Re: What are the new Roland covers made out of?

The JD XA has to be different. What, you get overlays because they messed up?

That is why it is going to be remembered. My goodness it's a mad and brilliant synth.

System 8 as midi controller for Integra 7

what do you think ?

Not really got room for an A49 midi controller with a Super Natural button. Will the System 8 be good enough to squeeze the pips out of the Integra 7?

Re: Hoping for some clarity

Dangit ... not enough slots! Can anyone with a System- 8 confirm that it is relatively easy to load backups or something, containing a different set of plug-outs? I really don't want to be tied to updating/replacing plug-outs slots via computer/USB, which is the only method available on the System-...

Agree with you. You saved me some money, I nearly went for the wood. Cheers.

Re: JD-XA VS System 8

I sold my JD XA a few weeks ago. I don't miss it. I thought it was a keeper but I simply enjoy the System 8 so much more. The JD XA is a magnificent instrument, it gives so much but it also takes so much, to the point of giving up. The System 8 is, in my opinion, brilliant. It's precise and has clar...

Endless Variation Encoders. A reason?

I'm thinking that the wonderful System 8 engine may expanded with additional variations. Why have endless encoders if not.

Maybe wishful thinking but you never know. The red LED's could go up to 9 after all.

Re: Roland D-50 Plugout on the Horizon?

I think clarity on the S8 plugouts would be good. If they already know what they have in development surely it would be a great marketing ploy.
I have no interest in the Cloud service. Just what bespoke plugouts will be available for my S8.

Re: System-8 vs. JP-08

if you can determine the values of your patches on the boutique, you should be able to manually input them into the S8. don't think there is another way. S8 doesn't even have a librarian! do the boutiques? (guessing not) are there patches on the JP08 (or JU06) that aren't on the system-8? cause i w...

Re: System-8 vs. JP-08

I don't know to be honest because I have the System 8 but haven't played the JP 08. I was looking at the patch list for the the JP 08 and there are a lot of patches missing from that list on the System 8. I would guess that it is possible to create the sounds but I would go into a shop and play it a...
