I guess you aren't short on ca$h. That's $15,000 in just three keyboards!!
i am very serious about getting the best piano sound and playability without using an actual acoustic piano. :)

Re: The Best Piano thus far

In defence of Pianoteq, I've managed to tweak one of the uprights to sound remarkably close to my Knight K4 upright. I don't find it at all fake sounding. You pays your money... hummm... mine is the player version (stage4) that only allows minimal editing. i bought it to see what the hype was all a...

Re: RD-700NX System Program Version 2.00 available

yah, i was able to set up metronome for the gray buttons. hit TONE EDIT hit MENU, then 6 (set up your metronme pattern) hit MENU hit TONE EDIT, and WRITE, ENTER while you're at it, you can program your soft pedal for start/stop and other features. hit MENU, then 2 (setup FC1 to 136: RHY PLY/STOP) hi...

Re: RD-700NX System Program Version 2.00 available

Huh, I thought you could save metronome to both the live and gray button patches.... Let me see if I can save to the gray buttons later. Its tricky as once you make the change ud need to go back to tone edit and write. I use the internal rhythm for practice. In fact the soft pedal is my start/stop. ...

Re: The Best Piano thus far

I see. If the soniccell works for you that's great. Its a nice compact package for sure.

Oh, it mightve been called sympathetic resonance in the FantomG8 inside pfx.

Re: Integra 7 SN Polyphony Issue

if you load up one of the virtual SRX cards, does that eat from the 128 poly, or is that a separate sound engine from SN? it has a different engine from SN to play PCM sounds, but how the total polyphony is organized, is yet to be known... i see... sounds complicated. i like how kronos has separate...

Re: The Best Piano thus far

Waaay more portable. I picked up a Soniccell recently though for $120 (crazy, I know!) and will see if I can use bring that into the mix. Of course, the Integra-7 beats that with it's SuperNatural sound engine, all the SRX cards and the multiple outputs. the complete piano SRX will bring it to the ...

Re: The Best Piano thus far

and for those interested, i have the RD700NX, CP1, and VPiano, along with piano teq, and some other virtual piano's like garritan, thegrand3, etc in my mbp. it has been my long journey to have a nice real piano sounding instrument since...hummm early 1980's. and for me, the RD700NX made my journey c...

Re: The Best Piano thus far

Kenchan, I would want the upright in my RD700NX for those songs where a concert grand is just too thick. A lot of pop songs over the last 40 years were recorded with upright pianos so I would like that as an option. That is why I think it is great that the Integra-7 includes an upright model. The r...

Re: RD-700NX System Program Version 2.00 available

there was some other thing roland said they improved on v2.0 in the pdf...but anyway i have the gray buttons now all re-programmed again. yah, there's still room for improvement on the system side of the RD for sure. i think there should be ways to copy all program parameter and dump into the gray b...

Re: RD-700NX System Program Version 2.00 available

yah, i tried it but it did not fix the problem. and i think the wav resolution is worse on the playback than before...? and the worst part is i lost all the gray button programs i had in there. that really sucked. i thought those would be saved with the live sets. oh well. i need to re-program those...

Re: The Best Piano thus far

Kenchan, it seems that the Integra-7 has more piano models than the RD700NX including an upright. That said, I also like tickering with my RD700NX and the control surface is far better on it than on the Integra-7. You also have more editing options for the ePianos on the RD700NX over the Integra-7 ...
