Still don't understand what you are saying.

Maybe someone else can figure it out.

Re: Using sequencer to play back in Live mode

Welcome to the Roland Clan, Paulpud! You can make layers and splits in both Live and Studio Modes. Live Mode simply has the advantage of a much nicer interface for doing so. You can sequence in both modes, too. But it's not possible to switch modes while the sequencer is running. You must first stop...

…and in the SuperNatural Synth…

Some of the PCM Waveforms in the SuperNatural Synth also use the A-B-C technique.

Unfortunately, they are labeled 1-2-3. That's the same way that Roland labels unrelated Waveforms, such as all of those "SynStrings" ones.

You might wish to listen to them to determine which is which.

Re: PCMS Diff between A-B-C Samples

Great explanation (as always) JunoJohn!! Thanks! There is no overlap between mappings B and C. I probably should have answered the obvious question: What's the point of all this? By creating two different mappings, Roland has effectively turned one multisampled waveform into two. And, why is that u...

Re: Recording External FA-8

Could you please be more specific? Are you recording a MIDI or an Audio Track on the FG?

When you say…

What is "it," the FA or the FG?

Re: Importing Samples Problem "Illegal File"

Maybe the files were somehow corrupted. Are you certain that they are good audio files? In other words, can you play them with something else?

Also, make sure your Fantom OS is 1.50 (the latest OS).

Yes, exactly!

You can also record/re-sample an existing Audio Track with its current MFX assignment into new Audio Track. That will also free up that MFX for other uses.

Effects Routing On the Effects Routing page you can SHIFT + Left Cursor to get to the Audio Track page. Select your Audio Track on the left side of that page. Choose your routings on the right. Audio Track Mixer You can also set routings on the Studio Play/Audio Track Mixer page. Press F6 (if neces...

Re: Importing Samples Problem "Illegal File"

Welcome to the Roland Clan, Phyzikal! The .wav files need to be 16-bit and 44.1 kHz. If you are using Mac OS X, look out for those annoying "Apple Double" files. They are the ones that start with ._ and are not audio files even though they end with .wav . I know each project has a limit of...

Re: recording audio and effects

In Studio Mode there are 2 MFX's that must be shared by all 24 Audio Tracks and all 16 Internal Parts. For example, you record your guitar dry to Audio Track 1 and assign MFX 1 to that Track. You set MFX 1 to Guitar Amp Simulator. Your recorded guitar will now sound with the Guitar Amp Simulator. Bu...

Re: MIDI Keyboard input HELP

Yes, you can play a G6 from another keyboard.

Be sure to buy a keyboard that has a MIDI Out port, not just USB.

And, of course, you'll need a MIDI cable.
