Re: Fantom vs FA?
OK. I see. Can anyone tell me the max LFO rate in the Zen-Core engine of the Fantom? One thing I'm disappointed in the SN-S engine of the FA is that the max LFO rate is kinda low.

Fantom vs FA?
I love my FA-07 and have been interested in the new Fantom. I'm confused as to what additional sound-generation features the Fantom currently offers. Both the FA and Fantom offer the SN synth engines and the XV-5080 PCM engine. It looks like both synths offer exactly the same set of SN and PCM tones...

Now sure what you are asking. As you wrote, the FA-08 uses the Ivory Feel-G Keyboard with Escapement.

Re: How to permanently set tone volume level in Studio Set?
In the Preview Studio Set mentioned above, the keyboard mode is set to "Single". If I change the keyboard mode to "Studio Set," the above issue doesn't happen. So it seems that volume level = 100 seems tied to the "single keyboard mode." Weird.

How to permanently set tone volume level in Studio Set?
In 001 Studio Set (FA Preview) the preset is "Full Grand 1" and its volume level is set to 100. I change it to 127 and save the Studio Set as a user set. Next time I turn on my FA-07, the volume level of Full Grand 1 in 001 Studio Set is, as expected, 127. However, when I select another pr...

No instrument gets finished ever. According to you, the Minimoog or the B3 should have been finished a long time ago.Saxifraga wrote:Another machine sold years before the development is finished. How long will we accept this crap?

Re: Xm is shipping...
If you had the cash, what would you buy: an original Jupiter-6 for $3000 or a Jupiter-X for $2500? I'm asking because a fairly decent looking Jupiter-6 just went for $3185 on a Swiss auction site. Incidentally, does anybody know of a review (preferably on video) where there's a comparison between t...

Re: Fantom semi -weighted keys. aftertouch unusable
I've been playing synths since 1991, and I couldn't care less about aftertouch on any synths I've owned or played. I personally don't find it musically useful at all.

Then, Roland would have to charge $4,000 for the Fantom 6.skinmechanic wrote: I'd like to see the Jupiter X synth engines in there like the JP8 etc

Re: Screen movement and weird keybed noises
I tested a Fantom 8 at a GC in NYC on last Saturday. No screen movement at all.
