Re: boutique sh on 10 june
I believe the Jupiter 4 is closer to a Juno 6' 60' 106. As its 1 osc n sub osc. But it had a massive thick unison mode which human league used very effectively. To be fair compared to today its decidedly ordinary in spec. You know I went thru rolands history and what stands out to me is they basical...

Re: boutique sh on 10 june
I am guessing one of the 2 synths will be a boutique. I went thru listed synths on vintage synth and the only one that grabs is the Jupiter 4 which I believe has 4 x mono about it so it makes good mono bass n leads. It's a very historic synth which is what Roland are doing under the nostalgia market...

Re: Main analog audio output to an amp
That's great. I have found this forum very useful myself. The fa still surprises me with its sound. I keep going through the presets and many are a bit boring but then one will stand out. I always wanted a d50 years ago but could not afford it so I bought the d20. Now I have d50 aplenty and more in ...

Re: JP-08 not that great?
I think the ju has the sweetest oscs and filter of the lot. I don't own a jp but played them at the nec show which i thought the jp is very disappointing. It's only advantage is the dual mode as a monosynth. Stacking the osc is great. The sales show the ju to be the best as they no longer make it.

Re: Main analog audio output to an amp
Its easily un-noticed as most synths are TS. My virus TI has TRS which alerted me to this new trend as i checked out the manual before i bought my FA. I think most of the poly-synths nowadays being released are TRS. ie. I think the Deepmind12 is TRS. not sure. Its better in any case as on stage as i...

Re: Can you append songs with the sequencer?
I have a Korg m50 and it also does assembly by sections to form a song. Its a great way of doing higher level editing but alas the Fa does not have this feature. However there is a way around it (but not ideal) and that is to sample the sections you want and then string the sections together as samp...

Re: Main analog audio output to an amp
you must use balanced TRS cables as the FA requires this. I use van damme cables as they are great quality and the heads are not too heavy to put pressure on the output connects of the FA. sounds like you have a ground loop within your mixer. Which you need a ground lifter. I use the behringer one. ...

Re: Create custom appregiators
I am not sure but i am guessing it takes the first note entered as the reference as other synths do this. Experiment and try it out starting at other keys.

Re: Create custom appregiators
Please note if you have a song loaded that you are working on, you will need to save that first and just load in the next init song (it remembers the last studio!! excelent), put in your pattern on any track (not just track one), as its best to experiment with the patch that you favour, then when pr...

Re: Unison Mode in Supernatural Synth
Ok thanks, i will try both, i think id prefer to keep it contained with a patch rather than take it to studio level.

Unison Mode in Supernatural Synth
Has anybody tried this in editing? i think it is utterly useless, it does not fatten anything and worse it actually seems to cause waveform cancellation across the sound. Is there another parameter that can widen the multiple voises? like on other synths.
