Different audio volumes for audio recording in
There seems to be something odd happening with recording samples which i am not sure what the reasons are for it but guessing at this stage. There seems to be a noticeable difference in the audio routing in the FA when switching to record a sample from an external synth etc; The difference is ... th...

Re: Power over USB
Thats a useful bit of info as i was thinking of taking a Novation USB powered MIDI Controller to send midi data to it and with the power available means less cabling for the supplies :)

Re: Hiddens that do not seem to be in the manual
thanks for that link :) If only there was a shift and press for copying the 'loop measure settings' to the track modify 'copy' settings in an instant. This is the one missing thing in the sequencer that Roland has missed and it really should have been addressed by them. It would transform the ease o...

Re: Midi Out in the Roland FA-06/08 with other synths
I found out mute will stop the on-board sound being triggered and this leaves the external synth being triggered on its own. this is very good as the track can have layering possible across the sequencing track as required.

Hiddens that do not seem to be in the manual
Not sure if this has been done before, i was proposing, in order to benefit all of us, to list key etc; presses that i have found hidden away, as far as i can see, are not mentioned in the manual but are really good. These are mine... 1. The top layer of control knobs adjust the sampler editing when...

Re: Creating your own arpeggio
I was looking for this myself over the weekend too. I have not seen a step style arp editor screen. But there seems to be, as mentioned, an SMF import which might be able to take in this. There is user storage listed when the menu is brought up. I would appreciate if you find out anything about this...

Assignable Pots for Roland FA-06 for volume
Before I delve again in to the Fa-06 multi-menus and spend hours trying to work out how to set up the assignable pots to see if it can be done.
can the assignment pots be set up to adjust the volume across say 6 tracks?

Re: Sampler Volume with FA-06
ok I see the sampler being pretty basic, shame it cant do more. So vol fade in and outs for DJ/electronica mixing is a no goer then with fixed vol samples unless its recorded in to the sample in the first place. Which can be done. I guess its just a way of working the machine the right way. I did no...

Re: Midi Out in the Roland FA-06/08 with other synths
OK thanks, ok if it works with the blank preset or lower vol then its going to be ok. I suppose by putting in the option to have an internal sound on the track later makes it more flexible. I am used to korg workstations which give an option for int/ext/both in the tracks pages. thanks for the quick...

Sampler Volume with FA-06
Can the Sampler's track volume be automated during a sequence?
Has anybody found how to do this?
All i can see is that the samples can be edited for their volume within the sample editor but i would
love to be able to modify the volume and record it in to a sequence for a swell.

Midi Out in the Roland FA-06/08 with other synths
I am planning to use the FA-06 as the central sequencer without the need of a PC. So i was tinkering around over the weekend. I went to set aside midi channels devoted to 3 other synths that are dedicated to driving these synths. (tracks 13,14,15) What i could not do was find some setting that confi...

Microphones for FA-06/08
I am a new member of the FA-06 having just bought a new FA-06 on Saturday.
So i have loads of questions i guess...
the first ..
Can anyone recommend a good microphone that can sit attached to my head leaving my hands free
in order to use the Vocoder?

Re: Modulation amount of Modulation Stick
the sh-201 seems, has no means of adjusting the amount of modulation applied to the LFO's from the joystick. the selection is available but not the amount. so the lfo kicks in with the slightest of touches to full swing. the d-beam works better and has more subtlety.

Modulation amount of Modulation Stick
Has anybody discovered a way of adjusting the amount of modulation the stick applies to the synth when pressed forward in the parameter set?
it seems fixed and a bit heavy. id like a sound to carry a small amount of vibrato applied from a lfo when the stick is pressed fully forward.
