Re: Really Roland? Seriously?
Well.... Just for fun I drew a imaginative successor of the System-8, the System-48. - 48 voices - Voice allocation - 6 parts performances - 2 LFO's - 5 Plugout slots - 6 slot Mod matrix - Mod envelope - In Variation different Plugout modules selectable - Multi color LED's (shows which model is chos...

Re: Aluminum sides for System 8
I like this, especially that you can choose to choose between aluminium or a more classic look with the wooden panels.
I think I go for the aluminium sides to keep it in style with the Jupiter-80

JP-80 and Vangelis
Thanks to Studioliv1 and his soundbank the Jupiter-80 is an excellent instrument for Vangelis style music, but when watching the short movie "Vangelis - Rosetta- EPK" it was a nice surprise to see Vangelis actually has one in his studio.

Re: What did you expect?
The System-8 is almost everything I hoped for in a new ACB synth. - Decent polyphony and polyphonic plugouts - The two most interesting boutiques as plugout - Extensive controller abilities - Arpeggiator and step sequencer - Enhanced System-1 synth engine - Bitimbral I think plugouts of non Roland s...
Re: System 8
I can imagine that. I think the System-8 enhances the System-1 significantly. Decent keys and expanded sonic capabilities. I wonder if and how the new plugouts behave in a System-1. I definitely want a System-8, but since my System-1m is a integral part of the modular system I am building, I will ke...
Re: System 8
It could, but after the OS update it can store 64 patches.
Well actually 128 if you also count the Plugout patches.

Re: System 8
I've studied the System-8 by drawing what is known about it.
I'm pretty sure I want one.

Re: System 8
If this information is correct, then it comes close to the ACB synth I imagined.
I am very curiuos about the details of this instrument.
This could easily be my next purchase

Re: New Sound bank Available for the Jupiter 80
The pack contains: 31 registrations, 45 Livesets, 63 Tones, 4 arpeggio's and two soundfiles. You can purches them here: http://www.barbandco.com/store/p114/Vangelis%27_Festivities.html I've loaded the whole soundpack into the JP-80 and they were all put in the first available empty slots. If you don...
