xv-3080 import sysex from 1080
Hi guys, I have a major problem in dumping a syx-file from this site: http://www.jvxp.com/ more specifically this one: http://www.jvxp.com/files/patches/1080's.zip I have tried both Cakewalk sonar 8.5 (syx) as well as midi-ox using two different midi interfaces (ESI Rom/io and Midisport 2*2) and eve...

Re: NAMM 2014
There are rumours floating around that they (Roland) will actually present some kind of analogue instrument at Namm (a lot of rumours actually). Let's keep our thumbs crossed that it will not only be midified accordions in the end :-)

Re: Fantom-X weird problem in performance mode
Florin,
THANK YOU!!
yes, you were correct. My Triton was to blame here, polluting the fantom with garbage (lol).
Works fine now (disconnected and re-routed some midi).
regards
Daniel

Fantom-X weird problem in performance mode
Hi, My X6 has recently started to act up. As soon as i assign some patch to a performance (for example, drum patch to channel 10) AND save the modified performance, i then get a "---" on the part 10 in the performance. When i press "patch list", it shows the 10:th slot as "n...

Hi, Here for example: http://www.rolandus.com/products/details/474 "There are also plenty of basses, pads and sound effects perfect for any track, along with the most complete assortment of drum kits ever assembled. New sounds can be added by installing an optional SRX-Series Wave Expansion Boa...

srx-05 "special patches"
Hi,
After reading about theese "special" patches which are only (??) accessible from an mc-909, i got curious. Are there ways to play them on the fantom-x perhaps? Have anybody extracted them?
I have tried to find sound examples on the net without success.
regards
Daniel

Re: Best Sound Expansion Sets
Hi, I got the Sinevibes set a while ago and can only agree with Plank on this one. It is biased toward trance/dance/house for sure (which suits my needs quite well). IMHO, it was 59 usd well spent. I tried to find other patches/banks on the internet, but they are far between (are there any at all??)...

Re: XV 5080 Sample loading via SCSI?
Hi, I sold my 5080 quite some time ago (now use a fantom-x and xv3080 instead) but what you could probably do is to get the roland cd and download the "translator free" from chickensys and use that SW to read your cd from your computer and convert it into files on your SM-card (the cd shou...

<r>PauloF,<br/> <br/> That is not true at all. I know of at least one good example where one person (yes, one) outdid the engineers over at Yamaha. I'm talking about the Typhoon OS for the TX16W sampler (start reading here: <URL url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typhoon_2000">http://en.wikipedia.org...

Absolutely, i do it almost all the time (use Sonar for master sync). Look under "System"->"Sync/tempo"->Sync mode (set to midi-slave).
And you are done
