Re: tweak XV5050 for use with EWI
Hi Michael, It is sounding good to me. The 5000 has some great sounds. As far as Matt as his patches are concerned, if he is busy you can always ask for help here. Initially there is some setup to do, but the patches are easy to load once that is done. **(First make a copy of the Patches and save it...

Re: tweak XV5050 for use with EWI
Hi I can really recommend Matt Traum from Patchman. An original developer of the EWI's trumpet fingering and a sound designer with a huge collection of patches for a lot of different synths. I should say at the outset that I know and have worked for Matt . Quite a while agoI bought an XV set of his ...

Re: How to transfer patches from JV2080 to XV5080
Hi I have just loaded a JV1080 User bank into my XV3080 and they all showed up in the XV User bank. You can play them there or use the XV Librarian (free software from Roland) to create a library or export a standard midi file (SMF). You could also use the XV's Midi dump to send system exclusive to ...

Re: SR-JV-80-09 Session patches on XV5080+SRX-07
Hi I am pretty sure you can load any XV patch in to the Integra. here is a link to a large chat we all had when I was converting the Xv patches that came with the SRX cards to Fantom S/X and SonicCell. http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=36711&hilit=+SRX I can't remember the whi...

Re: A-300PRO aftertouch problem
You can also re-scale channel AT using MidiOx. Create a datamap mapping Channel AT to Channel AT with the input range, say, from 0 to 63 and the output range 0 to 127. This will give you an bigger range as the expense of resolution. Play around with the max range value on the input. Hope this helps ...

Re: A-300PRO aftertouch problem
A month late but this might be helpful. There are a lot of Roland synths that support Polyphonic aftertouch which prompted me to write a channel aftertouch to last key aftertouch converter. If you have a keyboard with channel aftertouch and an XV or Fantom or Soniccell etc you can at least get to tr...

Re: 3 different sequencers--> XV-5050 at the same time?
Midi merge. If your sequencers are on a PC then you can install MidiOx and MidiYoke or loopMidi. The output from sequencer 1 2 3 would be MidiYoke 1 2 3. In MidiOx select the Options / Midi Devices to be MidiYoke 1 2 3 in and out as well as the Midi interface you are connecting to the XV in and out....

Re: Fantom X6
If you are talking about keyboard split for a Patch then you'll see that each of the Tones can have their own keyboard zone (and can overlap) and you can set Coarse Tuning on the Tone to get the change in octave. This is the way you split a keyboard on a single Midi Channel. That is, the split works...

Re: Fantom-X6 MFX routing in patch mode
Andy is right, but if are not using the Pads or the audio Input you can set up and use both the Keyboard MFX1 and the Pad MFX2. Interested ? Here's how. Download the two patches (they are FanX Editor files) and Place the modified "Purple Organ" into, say, User 255 and "Input Rotary&qu...

Re: card protected error
Like you I have a PCMCIA to CF adapter in my FantomX and a SD to CF to PCMCIA in my V-Synth XT Unlike static RAM (battery needed) flash RAM has a fixed number of 'writes' and early ones only had a few thousand writes. This is the problem with SDD drives on your PC that are currently all the rage. Th...

Re: Should my JV-1010 respond to modulation wheel movement?
Reason was probably set to 'Omni' mode which is 'I'll accept Midi messages from any channel' mode.
Glad you got it sorted
