Re: Ram from fantom Xa

The Xa uses the same memory that is specced for the G. If you are having trouble with the memory, you may have other problems with it. I would take advice from the threads above as that memory should work.

Re: Preview Patches

No, as the librarian software does not have the SH-201 sound engine at its disposal.

Re: I think...

You mean like those "play guitar now" dealios that come with a guitar and amp for less than $150? Problem is, Roland doesn't make really inexpensive keyboards that would fit into the market space generally associated with package deals. Probably why they haven't done it.

Re: Apple's new MacBook, MacBook Pro and Cinema Display

I plan on upgrading to a macbook pro next year so this may very well be the format I'll be buying.

Can't wait.

Re: USB Flash drive.. !@##Fix this Shit Now!!!

Dan,

I would ask that Roland look into the file format issue. Also, I saw a video of yours that involved using a hard drive with your Fantom. I got the impression that you were able to directly connect it to your Fantom. Was this true?

Re: USB Flash drive.. !@##Fix this Shit Now!!!

<t>This problem has been repeatedly discussed on multiple threads. The issue stems from the Fantom G not having consistent write capability on FAT32. Any USB memory stick larger than 2GB is going to be in the FAT32 file format as FAT16 can not have a partition larger than 2GB.<br/> <br/> Therefore, ...

Re: Sample loop noises

I'm not really doing that much work with loops. I just want to get this harmonium multisample setup. $200 is way out of my price range for the job. I guess all I really need is a apple loop converter for now.

Thanks for the links for all the tools, Art. Between these two tools I should be able to get the job done.

Re: Sample loop noises

I imported these AIFF files directly from a sample library for Garageband, but the loop points did not stay intact. Could it have to do with a special "apple loop" format?

Re: Sample loop noises

Thanks for all the tips, guys.

Does the Fantom G pick up loop points if I create them with another product? I'm working with AIFF which is suppossed to have that capability.

Sample loop noises

<t>I'm in the process of making a Harmonium multisample on the G7 and am running into hickup (clicking) sounds where the loop starts back to the beginning. I understand that it has a lot to do with where the sine wave of the sample starts and ends. I've attempted to ensure that the loop points are a...

Re: No Vista 64 bit driver?

<t>You will indeed loose 1024MB of your 4096MB, giving you a total of 3072MB of RAM. The RAM will still be in your computer, but will be inaccessible. I wouldn't worry about it as 3072MB is fairly significant unless you are doing an awful lot of sample work. As in, loading an entire pipe organ with ...

Re: No Vista 64 bit driver?

You don't necessarily need to return your computer. Just install the 32bit Vista operating system. Are you addressing more than 3GB of RAM?
