Re: File management
It was late at night but IIRC it took almost 2 minutes to restore from the USB backup. Load time can be influenced by the type of USB card one has, so load times can vary from user to user, at least that’s how things usually work. I agree that Roland will most likely make a computer editor for the ...

Re: Future Music Mag gives rave reviews for JP-80
I want to give (possibly) one more example and clarification of what I was talking about. If someone gives a number of factors or ideas and they are contradictory or impossible, it’s called a logical fallacy. We still have the right to believe a logical fallacy or inconsistency in reasoning is true ...

Re: Future Music Mag gives rave reviews for JP-80
I am as entitled to my views as you are.. The fact that you disagree with me in no way makes you right... It is simply your opinion... And that is as valid or useless as mine.. Ignore me please and I will most certainly return the favor. Regarding opinions, yours are just as valid as anyone else, I...

Re: Future Music Mag gives rave reviews for JP-80
Personally I believe that sound design is as integral to the function of a synthesizer as playing... The Jupiter-80 is a highly intuitive synth and different from the other hardware synths on the market, it’s interface is appropriate for it’s intuitive architecture and allows for a more advanced an...

Re: Future Music Mag gives rave reviews for JP-80
The reviewer is correct and fair IMO to take issue with the control surface...this is feedback that manufacturers need to hear.. Now, while I have no doubt that the screen & interface is superior to current day "competitors", it however is not, and cannot ever be, as useable and immed...

Re: Future Music Mag gives rave reviews for JP-80
I went over the entire review… It’s very positive and Roland continues to rake in high praise for the Jupiter-80, especially after it’s introduction as it was still shrouded with mystery at that point. But I do believe that there is a misconception by reviewers looking for popular opinion concerning...

The Jupiter-80 is definitely a well crafted piece of awesome! Roland really raised the bar for excellence, expressive possibilities and user friendliness.

Re: Support/update question
Guys, I don’t think Dan intended to mislead anyone, given the nature of the video, that would make little sense. Dan is quite brilliant and knows more about music equipment than most people I’ve come across. I’m sure he was just giving a quick overview of how Registrations and Live Sets work, estima...

Re: I hope a 61-key version is on the horizon
I’m all for a 61 key version but I am a huge fan of the 76 key version keyboards. I play piano (as well as piano style) and play the bass part with the left hand as well as chord and bass mixtures, with the left hand hitting a bass note then immediately jumping several octaves to play a chord and at...

Re: Support/update question
lets not get carried away in your gush of Roland Love You frankly have no experience with the Fantom G and so are not able to comprehend the degree of difficulty using that this machine has presented many people... some of whom gave up in disgust. So, if you are going to drink the coolade go ahead,...

Re: Support/update question
The thing is, we are humans, which means... diversity of tastes, sensitiveness, opinions... So even if hypothetically there was a perfect JP-80 or Fantom G or Korg Kronos or Oasys or any other brand...to not hurt any feelings ;-), there would be always someone complaining about some missing "b...
