Re: Any more updates for the Integra-7 ?
I doubt it. Yamaha just discontinued the MOTIF Rack-XS module recently which is of the same vintage/generation as the Integra-7 so the Integra-7 will probably follow it into the ranks of discontinued products next year. I must not be too concerned, though, since I just bought a brand new Integra-7 ...

Re: Jupiter-X vs System 8
From the current Roland product line-up this thread is more like comparing apples to oranges, but never say never and it could be Roland may mix ACB with VA/PCM as Roland 's strength is to mix and re-purpose existing with old tech in products (and sometimes something new like ACB) and let consumers ...

Re: This is more like it!!!
I think people are getting slightly confused, the ACB and DCB base code is what’s in the new Jupiter’s they’ve had to be re-compiled to run on the new AMD chipset. The new chipset just means y ou can have more cores on one CPU running more efficiently simultaneously. This is why we’ve got the JX8P ...

System-1(m) discontinued / replacement ?
Many shops in US and EU have no stock and very long lead times for the m.
A new System-"x" and/or Euro/Rack in the making ?
Some shops even don't list the System-1 anymore.
Still selling well or not or the end of the smaller System line...?

Re: This is more like it!!!
"this is just another JV/SuperNatural update running on AMD chips. smh" Not SN. that seems gone. Still no JP-X specs but ... In simple terms looking at the specs of the engine, V-core is just the PCM and VA parts of an FA/JXi/JDXA/GAIA/I7/JP50/JP80 (thus JV) , that is the ROLAND R8A02021A...

Re: This is more like it!!!
The specs for Jupiter X are not on yet published on the Roland website. Publishing this would have saved lot of time of speculation. Roland states that the JP-x uses Zen-Core. Zen-core is defined in the Fantom parameters guide which is basically a PCM/VA engine and the parameters very much alike the...

Re: When will a System 8 replacement launch?
It’s expensive to provide good aftertouch support. Anyone can throw in half assed aftertouch as a checkbox feature, but it tends to have very shallow travel and it’s hard to get the resistance right, and that makes it so hard to use expressively Maybe HydraSynth defies this perception . 49 key Poly...

Re: Gearslutz.com
Some of the comment of GS are spot-on. For a company that has huge economies of R&D band manufacturing scope and scale the price is quite a bit off for what is inside. The returns of on investment on the technology packed inside should have been obtained long ago.

Re: This is more like it!!!
Probably need to wait for the manuals to be released to see the structure of the engine to make further conclusions if Roland will release it. The SN/PCM group at Roland releases very good manuals with lots of details, in very contrast to the Aira/ACB group which is very poor in doing this. Many of ...

"Using their new A-Core synth engine, this differs from ACB in that is is more CPU efficient and can provide up to 256 voices across 5 part multi-timbrality" The sonicstate interviews said "A-core is better than ACB but Roland have not given up ACB". and "The ACB technology ...

Re: Integra 7 Service Manual
Many thanks ! Interestingly, but not suprisingly, the I7 uses the same R8A02021ABG chip as the GR55, JDXi, BK9 and proabably many others SN based products like the JD/XA, JP50/80, FP etc.. lines. This chip is for SN,PCM.. and Roland uses the ACB chips to recycle and bring out new variations in the A...

Re: TR SYNC
Well.. at least it was not vapor-ware and it isn't really exiting and definitely not the CR-78 sounds that are so needed. Has been released in 1.61 https://www.roland.com/us/products/tr-8/downloads/ Serato DJ Pro Ver.2.1.1 or later is now supported. Synchronized playback with compositions on Serato ...

Looks like this is limited to send/receive the current patch ("Edit buffer") not to/from a specific preset number.
