Re: Music Track (Japan) Video of JP-80

That one got me interested, went to the store to spend and hour with her
and "She came home with me" !!!

Re: Pulse Width Modulation / Knob E1-E4 assign

Coming from being a former Juno 60 owner, I can see the benefits of this. I'm a bit "old school" about aftertouch though, it's a "tendon killer" and I don't miss it sooo much. What I do miss is NOT having a mod wheel that I can move to a subtle "open" position and leave...

Re: Harmony Intelligence on/off

I just checked through the JP80 manual, Page 47-49 details the harmony settings and page
83-84 details the various pedal assignments.

I couldn't find any ref to turning this on/off with a pedal .... sorry !
I'm sure you did the same, so I'm not much help.

ERSATZ = Meaning "cheap" or "Tacky"

Usually used when eating some cheap powdered noodles or something,
to describe the taste ...
The taste is "Ersatz"

Re: Too Many Sounds ..Not Enough Memory Workaround

I agree with Dany that there are indeed a LOT of memory slots available and that's good to point out. I too tried a huge "move delete and copy" session, which ended up in disaster with many things having their links broken. I'm now back to V2 with my own sounds included but nothing from V1...

Re: Too Many Sounds ..Not Enough Memory Workaround

I am also curious, can the Jupiter somehow be expanded with more memory? If so we wont have to worry about moving registrations around. Ray, that's what I am wondering, the backup files are not that large and these days what is the deal with memory limitations, it's so cheap now ! Remember buying A...

Re: Namn 2013, a Bust?

Yup - you are correct, seems it's a combo of Prophet8 & Poly evolver ... BUT the P8 IS analog?? ,,, little confusing, sorry if I got that prematurely wrong in my general exitement :-) Sounds killer though ... wow I think I would spend that on a P12 over one voice of Voyager any day ! M PS = I ha...

Re: Jupiter at Namm 2013?

I know I'm in the minority with such views! lol But hey, some people can't stand the sound of a cello so it all evens out in the end :) Cello's or should I say Celli .?... are great, I have the "Godfried" or something, set for Kontakt and the complete Vienna strings has some nice solo and...

Re: Jupiter at Namm 2013?

VR09 would have almost been perfect as my new "carry it myself with a bad back" keyboard but I wanted 76 notes so have just bought a Juno Stage :0( Still, the Juno sounds pretty good and with a few tweaks, really good ! I'm really not SO into the whole organ drawbar thing anyway, haven't u...

Re: Namn 2013, a Bust?

Prophet 12 looked interesting at first but then I realized its a VA synth with analog filters + other processing. It sounds killer. Please correct me if I'm wrong about the VA thing. I'm a little skeptical about Dave Smith build quality so I hope to get a hands on soon. Dev, I watched the whole Vid...

Re: Namn 2013, a Bust?

I was kind of excited about the MS-20 mini for a moment, but I have the Legacy Korg software
and the MS-20 controller, so that's pretty close - within 90% there for me anyway.

I really DON'T want another 37 key mini keyboard, my hands are just too big !!

Re: Namn 2013, a Bust?

Dany, I'm with you on that and a number of your other recent points. I guess my "tone" was reflecting on some general forum "grumbles" and fanboy stuff that bugs me, hence the "sensible and useful" comment. It wasn't really all about this particular post. IMHO there wer...
