Re: Feature Request..Expand the External Midi (x2)
jjdpro: How about expanding the 16 (External) midi tracks to 32 or 48. Thus one or two the ARX slots. Thus, expanding the external midi channel output to 32 or even 48, if you don't use a ARX expansion card... You can have 128 external MIDI tracks right now. You can't have more than 16 external MID...

Re: Whats next synth/workstation
I'll play... Great thread, BTW, Quinnx. I'm going to approach this post with as much legitimate Roland tech as I can muster; that is, I'm not gonna mention VSTs, multitouch screens, or Light Peak, as cool as they may be. First of all, the name "Fantom" should be done away with. The next Ro...

There should be a barcode sticker. The serial number is traditionally two letters and then five numbers.

Re: xr20 fantom g6 sync??
Yep. Via MIDI clock. I'd recommend the Fantom-G be the clock master tho'.
MENU > System > Enter... F2 to select the Sync Tempo page... Turn Sync Output on... F7 (System Write)... Set XR20's clock to external (or MIDI or slave or whatever). Done.

Re: Driver/MidiSetup issues
• Make sure the Fantom's connected to the same USB port as when the driver was first installed. • Make sure you don't have the Fantom connected to any sort of USB hub (including a desktop's front ports—always use the back). • Uninstall the driver, download the newest one from the Roland Japan websit...

Re: HELP - Connection between my Fantom G7 & A-800PRO MIDI K
You only need one MIDI cable—MIDI Out of the A-800Pro to the MIDI In of the Fantom-G. Set the A-800 to MIDI channel 2 and it'll play the sound on Part 2 (or whatever parts are set to respond to Channel 2 in F3 (Part View) > Level Pan page. Hence, if you want to layer two parts with the A-800, set th...

1. Press STUDIO. Those are your 16 internal parts (not tracks). 2. Press F3 (Part View). 3. Cursor to the MIDI Ch. column and change the desired parts' channels to channel 1 (assuming part 1 was selected when first recording the track) The problem is that since all three parts respond to the same MI...
