Its your setup not the fantom. Initialize a new new scene and make sure you are seeing incoming midi data on the external midi track. If you open environment, select click & ports, you can see the incoming data too.

I do not use aftertouch. It's not good for my hands long term but I programmed a basic patch on my Fantom using AT. It's useless, basically. 0 or 100%

They know. They know about my lockup and the issues with updating to 1.10. A new FW coming soon.

My Fantom finally locked up. I had 2 tones in edit. Saved the first one. Switched to the next zone and when I pressed write, the machine locked up. My USB was connected but DAW was not open. USB been connected for at least 6 weeks. Anyways I pulled the plug to reset the machine.

How close are you to a service center? Authorized service center is a better option than shipping keyboards. They are going to swap a board and see if the problem goes away.
