Re: Roland Sound Cloud installation location
Is there a way to change the default installation path for Roland Cloud instruments like the JV-1080 etc? E.g. I want my VST plugins on my E: drive but the Roland Cloud manager by default installs them on my C: drive and I can't find a way to change the default install location. I know how to change...

Illegal file message importing audio into Fantom-X
Hi all,
I'm trying to import a wav file into my Fantom-X6 but I keep receiving an error message saying 'Illegal File'. Anyone know to get around this?

Re: Roland Sound Cloud installation location
So I've signed out and signed back in again, now it's not recognizing instruments I have installed.
E.g. it says I don't have the JV-1080 installed when I actually do. What should I do here?

Bon Jovi's 'Keep the Faith' piano sound
Hi all, Trying to find a suitable piano sound for Bon Jovi's 'Keep the Faith' and just looking for some opinions on what others have used. The recording sounds (to my ears anyway) like a honky tonk or upright kind of sound rather than a grand. Does anyone hear any effects on the piano? Or do we thin...

Re: Roland Sound Cloud installation location
OK thanks.
I'm also receiving constant messages asking if I want to install Roland Cloud manager even though I already have it installed! Any way to stop these?
Thanks.

Roland Sound Cloud installation location
Hi all, I’ve recently started using Roland Cloud but am discovering I’m running out of space on my system drive. Is it possible to move the Roland Cloud instruments to another drive? I have a second internal HDD installed where I store my sample libraries so I’d prefer to store Roland Cloud instrume...

Bon Jovi ‘Runaway’ intro sound
Hi all,
Anyone know what the keys patch used on the intro for Bon Jovi's 'Runaway' is?
Attempting to recreate it on my Fantom X6... I also have access to Roland Cloud if there's anything in there that might be useful.
Thanks.

Fantom X6 organ rotary control
Hi all,
Is it possible to edit an organ patch on the Fantom X6 so that the rotary effect automatically comes on and stays on when I call up the patch? Not sure how to go about achieving this.
Thanks.

Re: I want to use the sounds from my Roland Fantom X6 in Son
probably try turning off "MIDI thru" in SPALT. if it's on you're sending just received MIDI data right back out to the X6 and triggering it again (this could lead to a MIDI feedback issue and hang up SPALT, your MIDI interface, the X6 or all three I can't seem to find a MIDI Thru on/off o...

Re: I want to use the sounds from my Roland Fantom X6 in Son
UPDATE: I'm now getting sound during Sonar MIDI playback but it seems to be double-triggering each note the Fantom plays. Is there a setting in Sonar or the Fantom that will remedy this?

Re: I want to use the sounds from my Roland Fantom X6 in Son
EDIT: I can see activity on the MicroLite's MIDI Out 1 indicator light so it looks like MIDI data is being sent but not received by the Fantom...?

Re: I want to use the sounds from my Roland Fantom X6 in Son
shouldn't;t need to arm the track to hear it but before we go down that rabbit hole (SPLAT and PC config) pop some earphones/cans onto the Fantom is there sound on the headphones during SPLAT playback? if not then 1) MIDI data is not making it from SPLAT to the Fantom, and/or 2) MIDI data is begin ...

Re: I want to use the sounds from my Roland Fantom X6 in Son
I don’t have a MOTU MicroLite but since itiis a USB device it should show up in SONAR as a MIDI device (assuming you install the MOTU MicroLite drivers correctly unless it is simply plug n’ play win ready device) Not sure what the display name in SONAR would be for your MOTU MicroLite device but pr...
