Re: NAMM 2017 what a disappointment
I don't understand the disappointment about Roland actually. As mentioned by rsaintjohn 909 was pretty hot when it comes to new gear. DJ-808, three Boutiques and the System-8 and that's the 'electronic' department only. What was there to expect today from Roland? I certainly wasn't expecting someth...

Re: Namm 2017
Roland just announced Roland Cloud, which I am wrapping my head around. What I know so far is that Roland will create new virtual instruments plus there plug-outs and have them available on Roland Cloud for $19.99 a month. Sounds very interesting but that is all I know so far. https://www.rolandclou...

Re: Update issue?
Reply from Support: "This is something we are aware of and the engineers are working on a fix." I have let them know because this is a real frustrating bug and others on System8 Facebook page have reported similar problems. There is something really wrong with the new OS. It only takes tim...

Re: Update issue?
After doing a factory re-set it fixed the wide open filter problem.......now it is back again. (It seems that this is going to be a reoccuring issue) When I select JP8 or the 106 where the saved presets had the filter at lower position now the filter is wide open again. This is frustrating and makes...

Re: Update issue?
I had a problem with the cutoff filter settings for patches in memory going wide open after I updated, did a factory reset and that fixed the problem. There seems to be similar problem complaints from other users on the System8 Facebook page.

Re: Promars, SH-2 and System-100 now available
I am not sure how one updates the Sh-2, I already own the software but it is confusing how to upgrade from the older version without having to buy it again????? Try downloading them from the content store rather from the support page where the trial versions are. I upgraded the Promars and SH-2 thi...

Re: Promars, SH-2 and System-100 now available
It's a beauty - I've tried them all and they all work with System-8. Also did one test that worked, Created a System 8 backup with every loaded plug-out and you can restore them from the SD card when needed. It's not perfect but it works. For instance : sys8_SH101_7.bin sys8_SH2_6.bin sys8_PMARS_4....

Re: Promars, SH-2 and System-100 now available
Is the SH-2 ready for loading into the System 8?
Can anyone list the procedure for updating and loading the SH-2 into the System 8?
I already own the SH-2 software.

Re: JUPITER-8/SYSTEM-8 Parameter Correspondence Table PDF
Wow this is eye opening!
I was mis-reading allot of the Jupiter 8 controls on the System8, this will take me awhile to memorize for programing the Jupiter 8 in the future but well worth knowing. Thanks.

Re: Juno 106 plugout missing on my System 8 - V1.02
if you press the Juno 106 plugout button the System-8 it says 'Coming Soon!' - so they're hardly going to build that into the System-8 if they weren't going to deliver it! I recall a similar problem over at Korgs fan boy camp!???bullshit tactics like the Function button on the Korg Oasys or unsuppo...

Re: Juno 106 plugout missing on my System 8 - V1.02
All the online demos and launch material / videos referenced the inclusion of the Juno 106 plugout, but mine says "coming soon" when location three button is pressed. Roland Australia say it has not been released yet, pending completion by software engineers... true??? or is this specific...

Re: Patch Question
Yes! It's poorly documented in the otherwise great S8 docs, but fortunately an online hero passed it onto me as a tip when I got my System-8. Press and hold Shift, then move the knob/lever in question, and the current value is displayed. INVALUABLE. Wow, seriously thanks for that tip, that really h...
Re: System 8
Talked to my Sweetwater rep today (my S8 arriving tomorrow) and asked about the side panels. For those of us in the USA, side panels will become available at the end of the year. I didn't ask him about the price, but IIRC the price was going to be $59 for either aluminum or wood. Thanks that's good...
