Re: Roland 909 day new products
although I'm always interested to see what they are coming up/out with, after selling my Jupiter 80 (overkill for my needs and no librarian), I backtracked to my Juno Stage, which I love and will never part with. I really don't know what else I'd ever need that I can't get with supplementary keyboar...

Getting the runaround from Synthonia!
I purchased a newly advertised Juno Stage sound set from their site two weeks ago, what downloaded was Juno Di patches and the Stage Bonus Cover patches that I already had from a previous order in double. I contacted them, they sent me the same patches again. So I emailed a very detailed list of wha...

Re: Getting the USB driver to work with OS X 10.11?
I used the latest Juno Di driver. Thank goodness I already had the librarian and editor installed as the installer no longer works with 10.11... If you can install them on a machine that has 10.8 or 10.9, then just copy them to your other machine, that works too. It worked for putting them on my Mac...

Re: problems with usb memory sticks
I'm using SanDisk Cruzer 8gb and 16gb usb drives just fine. Just format them using the Stage and then insert in my Mac, load files, "bob's your uncle.." and all that!

Re: Musikmesse and Jupiter 80 replacements?
Thanks Cello, that was great! I really appreciate you taking the time to show us that. I am definitely going to dig into my orchestral and quartet sounds and use this!

Re: Musikmesse and Jupiter 80 replacements?
Hey Cello! Can you elaborate on how to set this up? I have been looking in the parameter list of the JP-80 for the Layer Section Switch that activates this feature? Any more info would be great! Thanks! Wow - thanks guys! I had no idea that the JP-80 could simulate divisi - I've just gone and transf...

Re: FA-08 vs Juno-DS88
Good point Paulo! Now if only they made a 76 key version (using the jupiter/stage key bed) of the FA, I'd own one!

Re: NAMM 16 very disappointing for Roland
Nice and sounds fun, from an experimental synthesis point of view. I have always loved the synth sound but admittedly, never been that much into doing more than just tweaking to get the sounds I want to play and perform. I think that's why I do love my Jupiter 80, it's more of a performance instrume...

Where should my Master EQ settings be?
I know I need to sit down and really learn more about EQ'ing and such but I'm always so confused by the terminology. I usually just do it by ear but was wondering if anyone had a good place for me to start? Something in the area of enriching, say the supernatural piano sound, warming it up but not g...

Re: NAMM 16 very disappointing for Roland
Tom, I'm glad to know that they are make some of their customers happy these days. And you're right, no company can satisfy every customer every time. I'm also happy for your excitement over the new modular systems coming out. Truth be told, I'm not sure what they are or what you do with them. Maybe...

Re: NAMM 16 very disappointing for Roland
Yes, I agree that they have released a bunch over the last two years, but it is becoming more and more apparent that they are diverging from what I need as a musician and focusing on others that like mini keys, tiny boutique, less functions from keyboards, cheaper builds and terrible feeling keyboar...

NAMM 16 very disappointing for Roland
I was very disappointed to see the offerings from Roland this NAMM. :( An electric Cajon... coz that's what everyone has been clamoring for. :) ugh. It would be nice if they would support our current models instead of leaving us high and dry as they introduce more crap we don't need. Did I miss some...

Re: New Yamaha Montage Dual engine Synth.
PLUS, I'm using Ableton Live for my "workstation" needs, why would I want to learn another system and deal with small screens and little buttons again? The future isn't arrangers or workstations, it's performance, flexible custom set ups of the interface and PC support!

Re: New Yamaha Montage Dual engine Synth.
Love all that you said Kimsnarf! Now if we can just get Roland to continue to invest in the already superior in so many ways Jupiter 80 (for a live synth) and fulfill it's destiny. We need better sound management, I don't care about a workstation or sequencer!

Re: Juno Stage Piano Sound
I bought a stage, then sold it, then missed it and then rebought it! I gave it to my daughter to use but I don't think she's really into doing any more than playing the piano and basic sounds. I'll end up giving her the Korg SV-1 and taking the stage back, eventually. At that point, I'd like to dig ...
