Stevie Wonder's EP

Post by AlbertoEAF »

Hi, I'm starting a band and one of the covers we are doing is Stevie Wonder's Superstition.

I've searched on the synth and no patch has a sound as bright with a strong and clear attack as his EP:

Could someone help me making a patch that would sound similar to his EP?

Thanks, I'm not very good at creating realistic patches.

i believe you need to use a clavinet sound.

Clavinet

Yep, that's a clavinet he's using. There's some great clavinets on the juno in the keyboard category. Check it out!

Clavinet type patches are on the "Keyboards" category and most usually have a "Clav" or "Clavi" name.

I use the Biting Clav most often and sometimes the Phaser Clav as I think they're the closest.

This thread on Keyboard Corner might help:
http://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthread ... perstition
The post by user "Mate Stubb" #2655426 at 01/16/15 11:37 AM (that might be EST) has two mp3 links that isolated the clav sounds pretty well.

And there is more info here in multiple posts on this page:

You will probably want to get a guitar player to cover one of the clav parts. A "Pluck" sound is needed.
